Switched off for a bit to watch MOTD2, but this interview with Jimmy is riveting stuff and I'll definitely catch up with it again in full on the TalkSport site on the replay thing tomorrow.

No, TheChaser, but you can access it again via the TalkSport website.
If you access this link, then click on the Danny Kelly photograph, you'll get a list up of all his 'My Sporting Life' interviews which you can then click on to listen to again.
You can do the same with any of the other photographs/programmes on there:

Can't see Jimmy winning the world title - it's like Monty at the golf, or Andy Murray at the tennis - a rotten shame he never won the title...........hee hee Alternate universe - Andy failed to win Wimbledon, Sir Gordon and Frankie never won the Derby...Sir Stanley never won an FA Cup medal...

Neither can I, Vel, but it's great to hear that Jimmy has as much belief in himself and enthusiasm for the game that he thinks it's still a very reachable goal.
You can't ever go wrong with an attitude like that - instead of just giving up and listening to all the doom-mongers who tell you differently.

One of the most baffling things in sport - like Holland in the world cup, getting beat at their peak or always finding circumstances going against them.

Aye, but Jimmy was very frank in his interview (and apparently in his new book) that the reason he never won the numerous times when he should have done was purely down to self-excess on the cocaine and booze.
Good to hear someone being totally upfront about stuff instead of making excuses.

He's probably an okay bloke really, Vel. It's just that he's a terribly boring snooker player and someone of no manners (judging by his self-congratulatory exhuberances is some matches). To know he likes racing and bloodlines makes him a bit more amenable.
- although I'd shirk at having a drink with him - boring bleedin' bugger!

I love the bit where you go right back Tommy and there are loads of blank white spaces, except for "Major Caxton's Olde Browne Mare Called F@nny..."
If only Frankel knew, Tommy, that he is an utter equine basturt!!

I remember that dire pop song he did, I AM A CLOWN or something, and the time he went apesh1t because he won a frame against Hendry at the end of a session...Hendry rolled his eyes and looked up to the commentary............just hearing that Marco Fu got a 147.....is that right?......

Hendry rolled his eyes as if to say, "Just you wait, pal - it ain't over."
And the footage on YouTube where Ebdon tries to slow Ronnie down - Ronnie staring at the bassa, laughing in his face...quite right too. Deserves contempt for his gamesmanship and "psychological" ploys...
