Love Eddie Redmayne. Looking forward to watching this when it comes out on DVD.

Brilliant performance. Around 6/4 for the best actor Oscar (unless my modest investment has rocked the market).

It is an odd coincidence that we have three great biopics now: The Imitation Game (Benedict Cumberbatch as Alan Turing); The Theory of Everything (Eddie Redmayne as Stephen Hawking); and Mr Turner (Timothy Spall as JMW Turner).

In an ordinary year, any one of these would be contenders for BAFTAs and Oscars. Chit Chatters should see all three and then buy the DVDs as well.

Why is he made up to like Austin Powers?

Why is he made up to [look] like Austin Powers?

It is a well-known Hollywood fact that in 1960s Britain, every man modelled his hair on the Beatles and his glasses on Joe 90.

It is very good, extraordinary story, and a brilliant performance by Redmayne, but just a very good film in a lightweight way, on a 10-Star Rating I would give it 6.

Yes, probably The Imitation Game is the better film, as a film.

Paedophile billionaire Jeffrey Epstein hosted Nobel prizewinner Stephen Hawking on the private Caribbean island where Prince Andrew is claimed in US court proceedings to have slept with underage ‘sex slave’

Like a top theoretical physicist, for instance?

Actually, the Golden Globes people did make that point with regards to George Clooney in their humorous introduction:

Supply and demand, or profiteering? Until this morning, Amazon was selling The Grand Budapest Hotel dvd for £5. One Golden Globe later and it is £24.99.
