The SNP has today called on Jim Murphy to consider his position with the Henry Jackson Society - a right-wing, neo-con organisation in which the Labour leader in Scotland sits on their Advisory Council.
Human rights lawyer, advocate Niall McCluskey and The Spinwatch group have also called on Mr Murphy to end his membership of the right-wing club.
Commenting on a report in today’s Sunday Herald, Sandra White, MSP for Glasgow Kelvin, said:
“Jim Murphy should consider his position as an adviser to this right-wing, neo-con organisation - it is an extraordinary role for a Labour leader in Scotland to be in, and a huge embarrassment to his party.
"As a Blairite, perhaps Mr Murphy can’t see the difference between what is considered acceptable at Westminster and what is unacceptable in Scottish public life."

Totally braindead. Health is devolved, as Labour kept reminding us a few months ago. This pledge would be dependent on Labour winning both in 2015 and 2016.

As someone whose grandfather fought and served time for the rights of socialism and the working class in the general strike of 1926, I have come to the conclusion that socialism as we knew it has ceased to exist in the UK. The Labour party has consistently betrayed the working class of Britain. Murphy and his cronies may well find that gaining any sort of political foothold in Scotland ever again is beyond them.

I have a similar background johnn, and you are correct, Labour lost it's way a long time ago and I said as much to the Labour quartet manning a Better Together stall a few weeks before the referendum, not far from where I live. Clueless they were. They'll never learn and I told them they'd sold my grandad and his contemporaries down the river. When I asked them why Blair was allowed to ditch clause 4 they looked at me with blank stares, and the same when I asked why, with 13 years in power there wasn't the tiniest move to repeal any of Thatcher's anti union laws. Red tories are what they are, they've sold their souls and the party for the votes of middle England, anything to get elected. As for Murphy, well he voted for the Iraq war, supports Trident and it's renewal. He lived in S Africa and supported apartheid. What else do we need to know?
SNP is the only way.

Falling apart already or is it a plan to try and show autonomy from London Labour?
Labour are so out of touch they sent a middle class history student from Bath to be their 'Better Together' campaign organiser here in the Ayrshire ex-mining villages.
