2nd best film of all time 11pm BBC4

Arthur Lowe appears near the end when he was young.

Blimey, never noticed that before. Terrific ending. Great twist.

Great film

Alec Guinness was a genius actor, what a career. A great film.

He was wondereful, particularly enjoyed Last Holiday, a film with 2 delicious twists.

I was thinking about him recently, did he ever make a shoite film? Never, have to look up Last Holiday tomorrow.

There was a passable re-make of Last Holiday, but the original was fantastic. I don't think the film is on youtube, sadly.

Denis Price was equally immaculate in Coronets.

Dennis Price was very underrated. In School for Scoundrels as a crooked car dealer (with Peter Jones) he was fantastic. When he and Jones are bll**** about the car Ian Carmichael is about to buy it is comedy gold. He could also do serious stuff as well. It was a golden age for Brit actors.

Indeed it was.

This is like a vintage wine.

Joan Greenwood was very tidy.
