Rolf must have a lot of look-a-likey`s back in the day, and the raincoat look is quite generic.

"I can pinpoint a date was 1986, because I remember I was in pantomime at Richmond.

"When I see the misery I have caused (the alleged victim) I am sickened by myself. You can't go back and change things that you have done in this life - I wish to god I could.

"When I came to Norfolk, spent that time with (the alleged victim) and realised the enormity of what I had done to (the alleged victim), and how I had affected her whole life, I begged her for forgiveness and she said 'I forgive you'.

"Whether she really meant it or not, I don't know. I hope she did, but I fear she can never forgive me.

"I find it hard to like myself in any way, shape or form. And as I do these Animal programmes, I see the unconditional love that dogs give to their owners and I wish I could start to love myself again.

"If there is any way that I could atone for what I have done I would willingly do it. If there is a way I can start to help (the alleged victim) to heal herself, I would willingly do it.

"With your permission I'll phone you in a week to talk to you. If you hang up, I will understand, but I would like to talk to you to apologise for betraying your trust and for unwittingly so harming your darling (the alleged victim).

"I know that what I did was wrong but we are, all of us, fallible and oh how I deluded myself.

What about the charges of "making indecent images of children"? Should be fairly easy to prove or otherwise.

Letter is more evidence of a manipulative nature imo, grooming the girl, the father, and must have know the letter might surface later so throw in some dates and dispute it started at 13. His career is finished, so lets hope justice is done

No offence,but why not let the jury do their job.
If he is guilty then bang him up,but the Phrase "Inocent until proven Guilty" seems to have fallen by the wayside.
I'm not Pro Rolf,but if it turns out he gets off his life is still ruined because everyone will still think he is a nonce case.
Too many people just read the rags and think case closed.

go to the chit chat forum and read the rolf harris thread..he writes to the father of a victim and spills his guts..i dont think there is any doubt about the authenticity of the letter.

i met him when i was little, lovely man. he got us all to play "guess the sausage" blindfolded. had us all in giggles when he we were trying to guess what kind of sausage it was and he'd come out with his catchphrase "can ya tell what it is yet?". im still not convinced it was a cumberland though.

Sounds like you were probably right, but emotionally and intellectually, age ceases to become a factor. I know a 36 year old who is extremely vulnerable and have met any number of 18 year olds who aren't. We kid ourselves if we draw blank lines on account of age. If he's slept with an underage girl then by all means let him be held accountable, but if both were consenting adults, I wouldn't condemn him out of hand.

According to the BBC report she was still being abused (if it's the same woman) by Harris when she was 29 years old.

Cannot believe the charges bought against him from yesterdays alleged victim ever came to court, seems to me they were added to beef up other charges to try & make the evidence insurmountable, to me all this does is harm the prosecution case overall in my opinion.
