Also, check chit-chat for people still around long after their time should have been up.

About 350,000 have died from gunfire in the USA since 9/11/2001, presumably before "their time."

Good grief, what a sobering start to the day!

I just watched "Part 3" and we are only up to 2010.

Hadn't realised there are parts 4 & 5 still to go, but I can't handle any more just yet.
Report bigmo November 12, 2013 7:59 AM GMT
Just watched the first part and it is indeed very sobering. Some died so young which is very sad.
Report Aunty Post November 12, 2013 8:56 AM GMT
Just so many and also many that I didn't know had passed.

Next parts will be leading up to Maurice and Robin, and heaven knows who else!

its purely a coincidence, and nothing whatsoever to do with my enjoying artists with 'cult' status, ie. I loved some of 'em either before they died,or didn't know they had until already listening!  but the list of fav singers/bands is quite long, all died before their time.
ian Curtis
stuart adamson
jim Morrison
keith moon
kurt cobain
buddy holly
Malcolm owen of the ruts
eddie Cochran
john lennon
almost entire band of ramones

prob more ive forgotten

I suppose many could argue that great 'artistes' only receive cutl status after their death, not just singers but writers, actors, painters etc. but it does seem that many many of those who have that something extra do drop dead before their time, though sometimes their demise is brought on by certain chemical substances, even in the days of van gogh, etc.

thinking about all ive just said regarding having that something extra, it's a wonder im still alive, really.

And lets not forget Jesus, 33
Report FlowerMyth November 12, 2013 10:29 AM GMT
Yes Jesus that's right, mind you he wasn't the best of the late carpenters

ps didn't realise Buddy Holly was so young (22)

Yes that surprised me too, he accomplished a lot in a short time, clearly he was years ahead of his time. Richie Valens, who was killed in the same crash was only 17.

I don't recall seeing Kirsty MacCol get a mention! Did I just miss her?

It's a good while now since the tragic incident (won't call it "accident") that took her life.....Sad
Report Triggster November 13, 2013 9:45 AM GMT
Noticed that myself
Not included, died 18th Dec 2000
