Just some random thoughts after watching it last night. Bailed out after a few minutes of Macca so still a bit to catch up.
Jessie J. Surprisingly good.
Comedians. All cack
Cliff. Embarrasing. I recognised the words to his songs but not the "tunes".
Tom Jones and Shirley Bassey. Genuine superstars even at their age.
Stevie Wonder. Past it.
Cheryl Cole. Aweful.
Prince Harry. Bored out of his brain wishing he didn't have to be there.
Elton John. Quite good but didn't seem well and looked as if he was on some drugs which puffed his face up.
Kylie Minogue. Vaguely entertaining for a few minutes.
The rest apart from Bizarre Grace Jones has now blurred into oblivion. Poor Queen. At least we can record and FF the bad bits.
Not seen Charles yet and very surprised to see good comments on here.

Not seen Charles yet and very surprised to see good comments on here.

Half of the entertainment was from posting & reading this  thread as the concert was on which you obviously missed, agreed many of the acts were awful none more so than " I must be the last act on or I won't be coming McCartney " but this was interspersed by some gems including Tom Jones who was the star of the show imo, we have had concerts like this before but it could be many years before we see the like of it again & overall I thought it was pretty good, not outstanding but pretty good all the same.
Report Aunty Post June 6, 2012 1:38 PM BST
Actually I thought it was spectacular in very many ways!

Ok, I watched it on BBC i-player so was able to skip through Robbie (Ape Man) Williams, with
his ridiculous face pulling, and the excruciatingly bad presenters/comedians (allegedly)!

What it did show once again is that The Britts are capable of putting on a complex live show
without any problems that I could see.

I haven't read from the beginning here, but have to say that the Digital Mapping was astonishingly good, except for the flag issue.

It was said it was done because the Union flag looked too fragmented on the building, but it looked fine to me previously, and plus the fact that the palace was further away when
the fireworks were on!
Report bix June 6, 2012 5:55 PM BST
Yes, chapeaux to the organisers. Apart from Rolf Harris being told to get off it all went very smoothly which is quite something considering the egos involved.
