Two patrol cars have been attacked after members of a community where a young man was shot dead by police took to the streets to demand "justice".
Dozens of protesters have gathered outside the police station on the High Road in Tottenham, north London.
It comes after a 29-year-old father-of-four, named locally as Mark Duggan, was shot dead by police on Thursday.

I've just got very annoyed listening to the Home Secretary waffling and avoiding questions on the radio.
The bottom line is the Police and Government have totally failed to protect the public and property when called upon. To keep saying "we are going to sit down and listen to those involved and see what needs to be done" is just not good enough. This is not the first time we have seen this sort of thing on our strets and measures should have been in place long before it kicked off.

I think you will get half measures, the rot has set in to part of our community but also into our politics and watch for the pathetic excuses for why it happened. Although there was looting in several cities and lots in London it is still only groups of 2- 300 mainly young people in various areas. But even though it is a small minority of the population the police were not able to control any of it. Certainly they were unable to protect people or property. It is quite easy to torch a building and run away it seems. Where is the strong message from government - all we are getting from May is we police by consent and robust policing has been happening!!!??? You are joking May!! strangely it is an opportunity and a reason to really have an attempt to change things ie come down hard on those involved,put the army out, prevent further criminality and then get the unemployed work whether it is private or government created ie make them work for their benefits and clear up some of these sink estates
