I've got 1942 at home big arcade-type thing) but the sound doesn't work on it. Anyone know how to sort it out or where I can get someone to**it (Manchester/Cheshire ish)? Have had a look around but can't find much.

Then I'll just need to get the front glass screen back into that was delivered separately. God knows how that stupid thing goes in, been trying for half an hour.

Ta.

if you want to play arcade games on your pc, download mame and the game roms for it. get to play all the old classics.

Lol, it was my all-time fav game, still is. I actually bought the thing for about £180 about 20 years ago when I lived with my Mum. Gave it away to my mate a couple of years later when I moved out. He's kept it all this time and just gave it me back as his new missus wants it out of the living room lol.

Don't want to play on a pc, ta though. I like the nostalgia of playing it on the big machine on a big stool listening to some funky 80's tunes lol. Not really into gaming, just the old 1942. Though I think/hope I could buy some more old-style games like this, tis just some electric circuit board to slot in I think.
I did look at buying a new one from a gadget site with loads of games on but they're all about £1500 - £3000, which for just an electronic board in a big box is a bit much lol. Plus, the screen on them is half the size.

i remember an arcade that i used to go,and i the last time i went past there, the same bloke who run the arcade about 15,-20 years ago is still there, but sadly all the games machines have gone and been replaced with fruit machines. But i could ask him who are the people who**these arcade machines when i go by there again. But maybe you could do the same in your area.I used to love shinobi, vigilante ,outrun, pacland.double dragon, kung fu.god i miss those days not the same on the pc.What site do you get the roms from anyhow?

Yeah, used to love going down the arcade, back in the day lol. 1942 and Track and Field were my favs. No idea where to buy new games from, not looked properly. Have just found somewhere that could prob**the sound on mine, though an hours drive away.

If you get it fixed make sure the guy who fixes it charges you prices from the 80's ;) :)
