"Its a better future for the kids, innit".

To be fair, nobody has been set on fire in Oz since that poor Indian Guy, em, last night...

That firm was the ONLY one in South Queensland
Instead of a £6,000 surplus they calculated a Minus figure in Oz.
She could not study anymore in Oz.
The "Camping" was TWELVE HOURS away...so much for the Outdoor life and all camping in gigantic areas with virtually no-one there.
BUT she DID have a bigger Laundry Room.
All living Grandparents, who live round the corener will be devastated...and Rob-the emotional one, changed his mind completely and wanted to now go.
What happens if he changes it back again as she had enormous eventual reservations....

Oz is great for a holiday or to retire to IF you have a decent wedge to take to live off. However coastal properties have gone through the roof in recent years, Sydney in particular is probably dearer than here.Food in supermarkets including fruit is dearer than here but eating out is far cheaper and petrol costs less.Right, im off to get me visa application sorted....

Quality stuff from the BBC, well worth the the licence fee......NOT!

It appears they only choose families that are the least likely to succeed so they can produce the programme to the set formula. Total utter Sh*te, I don't bother with it any more.

Well tbh, its better than jeremy Kyle at this time of day, whilst working todays bets out..

it does have the same format though, family with 2 kids smallish crampt house , average jobs arrive oz airport knackered, go see massive properties and start dreaming, by the end of the week they realise they cant afford it.Back to Blighty..

not forgetting the heart wrenching moment when the cameras have to stop 'cos the dappy bird misses her 14yo daughter who for some reason they didn't bring with em

Think the ones on these progs are the least likely to make it. The ones you never hear of are making a go of it.

Id try West Aus for value but even Perth aint cheap, was around 2001 - 2004 but in recent years its caught up.Maybe there will be a downturn soon like Florida/Spain in last few years ?

Tasmania is nice enough but seemed very quiet when I visited a year ago. Went out for a drink at the weekend in Hobart and the streets were dead, felt weird
