Where is it currently/recently snowing in the UK:

The forecast has gradually come down from 'up to 16 inches' to '2 to 4 inches' to 'occasional flurries'. Met office are covering their @rse as usual. Better to err on the big side, so they can't be accused of not warning us if the worst happens.

Been snowing in Mid Sussex since about 8:30. Looks a bit damp and more sleet-like but still.
Report DaveEdwards • January 10, 2010 8:58 AM GMT
There better had be 16 inches of snow. I've got loads of bread etc, all stocked up. Anything less and I'm sending them an invoice!

Why DO people stock up on bread when it snows, or at the slightest worry?

Minardi, are you one of those hysterical types that charges out to your local supermarket at the first flake of snow to be seen pushing a large trolley piled high with bread ,tins of soup and disposable bed sheets (for future wettings)?

God forbid what this country would be like in a real disaster.
