Joined 3 years ago

first bet was to lose £50 on the roulette - what an idiot

first year was quite expensive learning the ropes, stuck to racing for some reason, tried to play in running with dial up - x 10 mug!

second year got broadband, cut down on sports betting but discovered exchange games - x 20 mug!

third year, self excluded from everything apart from sports exchange, concentrated on football and recovered all loses from previous 2 years

fourth year - hopefully maintain this slow and steady bank build im doing!

Joined about 5-6 years ago whilst collecting bonuses from various sites and learning how to make the most of them. Investigated arbitrage theory between sites, as well as back/lay arbitrage on betfair. Left my job, left the UK and became full time about a year later.

Losing punter, winning poker player.

Got away well, steadied in midfield early on, stumbled badly halfway, dropped to rear & started to recover, making slow progress & moving back into the main pack.

Joined 4 years ago, started of not really understanding how exchange works and lost small money. Now manage to skim off a small profit most weekends (mostly Irish and UK horse racing). Tried and failed to master poker though.

lost loads first few months then realised internet commentrys were a furlong behind, then went from 30 pounds to 1800 in a day, then next day went from 1800 back to 40
one saturday morning woke up at 9 an proceeded to back from this point untill the last horse race at 6 am in australia on sunday morning, my wife then woke up and went absolutley mental with me, looked at my balance and had 10 pounds more than day before!
started on exchange games then realised that certain times of day your not allowed to win
went on casino with my 200 pounds horse profits , betfair realising youve won decided to take it all back off me on their very fair black jack,50 pounds bet 10 for me 5 for dealer, twist 10 for me stick, yipppppeeeeeeee 20 , dealer turns card 10 , double yipppeeeeeeeeeeee, dealer turns card 6 , oh b ugga !!!, 4 straight results for dealer and a full days hard work on horses gone
then went on poker thought will play for small stakes , did really well then went on a higher stakes table 6 of us had an average of 200 dollars each, all our money kept sliding to a guy who when i clicked on where he was from said moscow and as his user name said XKGB, thought id better not moan alot
not been on arcade or financials yet but overall ive enjoyed my life on betfair so far
now play smaller stakes after layed a 900 to 500 on a horse that had been pulled up on all its starts on heavy going, going report wetherby heavy, easy money , on arriving at wetherby found that the going in the car park was about as heavy as lena zavaroni after a big meal( rip lena, its only for comedy purposes,no malice),thought oh the track might be better, horse won and to add salt to wounds wife came up to me and said ive just backed that winner dont look so glum ,things are looking up, she had put a fiver on it !!!!!!

£2 punter who enjoys the forums more than punting.

Been here a loooong time under many guises.

Banned a few times from the forum but I've been allowed back using my wife's account recently. (Thanks Betfair)

My highlights:

The Lagerhound Lay which I'm currently archiving. Will do one or two a week from now on.

The 'Make up a name for a TV Cop show' thread which was a classic (because of other people's brilliant contributions)

Posted a picture of my wife's sweet little botty on more than one occasion.

Ran the 'movie posters recreated quiz' which to a select few went down well.

The 'Essential ingredients for a trip to the toilet' thread.

Have loved reading the works of Ken Masters/Minjy

Learned about Joomla on here (running about 50 sites with it now)

Made some genuinely good web clients (shan't post their usernames but it's been interesting to deal with them away from the forum)

Never met a single forumite in person.

Enjoyed Freshy trying to flirt with Mrs Londis on Facebook.

Learned new words such as 'spaffed', 'gubbed' and 'chebs'.

It's been unmissable.
