national news love it because they always have someone new to talk to etc so they dont have to regurgitate the same crap for 7 hours.

To be fair, it's been a newsworthy story. It's -12 again tonight ffs.

I travelled back to Belgium yesterday because of forecast.I was due to come back on Sunday.I needed a tow out of my lane in Hereford and was dug out of a car park in Folkstone yesterday morning.I see on the news today Kent has heavy snowfalls. Where is the hype?

I drove home last night at 12 and it was unreal

The main road leading onto the motorway was covered in about 6 inches of snow.

Dick, Dobbo and Steptoe. I agree with you. The poorly written point I was trying to put forward was that the media are reactionary. For example, a Local Authority stops skating on a lake and the media say that this is the nanny state gone mad, then somebody dies when the ice breaks they say they it was the local authorities fault.

I quite like the Tories blaming the government. This Government may be carp but do we really expect them to have 10 billion tonnes of grit stockpiled somewhere.

There were pics of the 1947 winter in our paper today ( Yorkshire Post ).Trust me, this snow is nothing like that.
There were drifts up to 20ft thick in the dales, 70 sheep froze to death, villages were cut off for up to 6 weeks, people boiled snow for water and starving Foxes attacked farmstock in broad daylight.The snow fell late jan and was around till april !

Have had zero problems. Not sure what all the fuss is about.

It is all pathetic. not exactly the spirit that won the war ffs. People are being fed the panic/chaos etc by the media, and they fall for it.

let's face it, it really isn't that bad.
