not sure punter .. saying you'd quite happily do a 60 yr old woman
and you are a bit of an argumentative taxman afterall
no offence though .. i know you're probably not

poker? i play very occasionally, I always say to myself at work "play poker tonight 4 tables(tourneys) at a time, try and play 100 tourneys in a fortnight and see what your stats are like"
but I never have the time for it
do you expect to meet people off here?
I certainly don't

no don't expect to .. not sure i'd want to but the ones that don't even bet seem to
pokers very tough tbh mate .. it's harder now than ever but made more than i could working last year
just play it for fun .. you can make a bit .. but don't try it for a living

working for hmrc is great fun, am very happy there
I would never drop it for a "poker living"
I never noticed people on here wanting to arrange a meet, though I do know Fresh always wanted to meet people until he got himself banned

providing you know how to play properly first ..for small stakes anyhow .. there are some v good players of course .. it's all about the money/fear factor

i recorded my stats on poker once after playing 50 games(9 man tourneys), was in top 3 50% of the time, barely made anything, pennies more like
so not going to bother much

same here mcmoonbeam, that's why I don't play poker much
I always think of it during the day when am day-dreaming at work but when the evening comes, I don't have the time for it since it's simply too boring
in a 9 man tourney, say I'd win it, the tourney would last an hour and 15mins............the first 50mins bore me to tears
I can afford a $50 tourney maybe twice a week, but I'd think I'd be wasting it

it is fun i think if you don't have to do it .. then it becomes a chore
$50 can be quite tough if you're not used to it mate .. i'd play $20 if i was you
that's why i play turbo's mainly & multi-tableit is fun i think if you don't have to do it .. then it becomes a chore$50 can be quite tough if you're not used to it mate .. i'd play $20 if i was you
I've read that $5 games are meant to be easier than $2.50 games
as in $2.50 games there are a lot of half decent players who aren't rich
I understand about the turbo thing, but do you think a couple of minutes difference per blind raise makes a difference?
what do you think you are better off in "skill-wise" turbo or standard or does it matter?

it makes a diff if you're playing to make money as i can play more games /hour/day
a lot say they're too quick but if you play properly you'll win or lose the same really so why wait an extra half an hour .. don't play super turbo's though & i don't play here
turbo's are more aggressive yes .. but you can still play them quite tightly & the best players always last out the bad players

well if you feel the best players always last out the crapper players in a turbo then there's no point in playing a standard tourney
Yea I've played a couple of super turbo games, ridiculous they are really, theres no way a decent player could make a living out of that
but I won't be one of those who'll want to seek out a living via poker, again as I have said, it's great working where I am, and have no intention of wanting to stay at home during the day

Mc Moonbeam 10 Jan 00:41 they 'think' they're good players .. so why haven't they made enough to move up ?
The $2.50 players? who knows? maybe they withdraw after making £50 and start again?
For example, take it you have a player that works outside for a living and only has 3 hours to spare for his life in a week-day, but doesn't want to use all 3 hours on the poker?
There's all sorts of people in life I suppose

then they're Fun players then ... that's fine .. i don't mock them at all .. it's just the truth
tbh some high stakes players are terrible
some guy won a $1 world record tourney over new year for 30k
he blew the lot on high stakes cah in an hour or so :)

again depends what people think is good money, besides, sky's the limit regarding promotion avenues
guy won 30k on a $1 tourney and blew it all on cash tourneys?
even I wouldn't be that**y
am happy with my wage with my job mcmoonbeam :)again depends what people think is good money, besides, sky's the limit regarding promotion avenuesguy won 30k on a $1 tourney and blew it all on cash tourneys?even I wouldn't be that**y
well he's one of them, wins a big tourney and thinks he's c0ck of the north and happy to play high stakes games
looks like he got his comeuppance

I moved in with the ex in Glasgow 3 years ago and this place was lain empty, but didn't stay with her for long enough and didn't get this place done up to be ready for let
so moved back in here
am 30 now, not in a hurry to meet a new bird, but if I do, I'd hope for one in her 30's and of course not an OAP, and perhaps she'll have her own place, and either she can be a landlady or me the landlord! who knows?
I was almost a landlord, but didn't materialise! I moved in with the ex in Glasgow 3 years ago and this place was lain empty, but didn't stay with her for long enough and didn't get this place done up to be ready for letso moved back in heream 30 now
lotta nice 30 year olds about but so many have kids / want this /want that etc .. they're hard work & not sure i wanna be tied down now
yeah i'm 33 & prob think similar ..lotta nice 30 year olds about but so many have kids / want this /want that etc .. they're hard work & not sure i wanna be tied down now
yea the older you get the choices are getting limited
wouldn't want a bird wae kids to be honest, but as for wanting this and that, I'll be making that clear from the start
