Saxon Reg

Think it's vaguely based on a number of bands, Reg. A lot of them were quite offended by it if memory serves, thinking it was one of them in particular. Fantastic, naturalistic movie, though, paving the way for the likes of The Office, Royle Family, Early Doors etc.

Its Saxon lads, they admitted it maybe 18 months ago?

old now and one of 'em had the moustache Harry Shearer adopted but you can see a likeness can't you ;)

looks wise it is Saxon ,but obviously getting lost behind the stage and dumbness of rock bands is a mix of plenty like Alex said.
Report onewheel • January 1, 2010 10:17 PM GMT
its ok but is very overrated, imo.
Report Alex69 • January 1, 2010 10:17 PM GMT
Good knowledge Reg.
Onewheel - take it back immediately! :0
;)
Report Alex69 • January 1, 2010 10:18 PM GMT
Good knowledge Brodie, that is :)
Report Brodie • January 1, 2010 10:19 PM GMT
And obviously brilliant how a bunch of Americans got the English accent spot on. Quite rare ;)
Report Alex69 • January 1, 2010 10:21 PM GMT
^ Yup - having watched it 'several' times, they rarely let their squatney accents slip :^0

Dunno if you've seen Best in Show, Brodie, but that's worth a watch. They're all in that (bar Shearer, if memory serves)
Report mp06 • January 1, 2010 10:23 PM GMT
its on number 11 though
:x this movie
Report Brodie • January 1, 2010 10:25 PM GMT
Never seen that ! Just looked on IMDB and it gets a rating of 7.4 ( which is a good rating especially for a film that is 9 years old )
Passed me by that, thanks for the heads up Alex, i'll try and find it online ! :D

Faith (explaining lateness of 'Smell The Glove'): They've had problems with the packaging.
Smalls (muttering in background): Have they got monkeys opening it, or what?

(Brodie - you'll love Best in Show - the guy who plays Lt. Hookstraten in Tap plays a major role)
