I'm no expert but the first one has an accelerator for the graphics and the 2nd one has memory allocated to it so that would be better visually. But is windows 7 64 bit a lot better than the normal ?

Well firstly Compaq beats Packard Bell hands down.

I wouldn't buy Packard Bell if it was the last laptop on the shelf.
