There are many good children charities out there and I do donate to a number of them however I do like to be selective to the charities I give to so I know where the money is going. Am I wrong to do this?
Children In Need gives out money to many good causes but what bugs me is that for some reason the BBC's Children In Need hide many charities that it donates to. I just cannot understand why they hide it from the public. These great charities below should be shown in the run up to the event.
I am sure the British Public would donate more.
;) ;)
Hillingdon Race Equality Council Hayes African Families Support Services Somali Welfare Community Association Sudanese Development Association ERITREAN SOCIAL COMMUNITY African Cultural Association African Francophone Refugee Assn UK African Community School Bengali International Somali Bravanese Assn Wandsworth Somali Society Efiba Arts & African Cultural Development Hammersmith Bengali Assn Iranian Assn Sierra Leone Refugee Welfare Assoc Somali (UK) Community Association Sahara Welfare Association Somali Parent & Children's Play Assoc Refugee Therapy Centre African Heritage and Educational Centre Waaberi Community Development Assoc Somali Speakers Association Shpresa Programme
With these great charities I may even revert from donating to the NSPCC and place my funds in the Children in Need Boxes
If those charities are genuine then only a myopic fool would choose not to give - Children in Need in this country is primarily concerned with improving the quality of lives whereas if the money goes overseas then it might actually save lives

No, I queried your source, good policy in my experience, not something you need to be tetchy about.
And if these charities make you want to give more than fair play to you, it's the kids that are important in the end.

A fair response. I think I better stick to the NSPCC as there are too many charities that are listed for me to spend my time investigating each one to make sure they are not wasteful.

Since then, the population of Ethiopia has douibled to 80,000,000 and they are still starving.
May as well send the money somewhere sensible, like my betfair account.
Geldof sent millions in the mid 80s. Since then, the population of Ethiopia has douibled to 80,000,000 and they are still starving. May as well send the money somewhere sensible, like my betfair account.
