I got an email a few weeks back saying my e-mail address had been drawn from a hat (not literally) and therfore I won a 'lottery' prize.
I had to send my passport and a photocopy of both sides of a bank card (to verify my signature) to a PO box address in Holland.
Unfortunately it turns out that I've been scammed and my bank card has been rinsed.
If you get an e-mail like this, it might be a good idea to check it out before forwarding passport and bank details.
