Anyone been along the M40 today?

Was OK early this afternoon but I understand rain is likely (if it hasnt already started) along with another overnight frost.

Mmm, frost. I wonder if they'll think about salting and gritting? Naa, silly question.

A bit like the M27 today - closed down beween junctions 1 & 4 for about an hour between 8.30 & 9.30 for gritting. No-one apparently thought to send the lorrries out until the peak of the rush hour.

Been all the way to M42 and all the back down to A34.....M40 is fine........road is perfect, M6 is not the best, roadworks every 10 miles bringing it down to 50........and narrowing lanes. You should be ok but better travelling at night imo, avoid the clowns.

Worst at the mo seems to be M25/M11.....its either solid or closed at the mo.
