Fine, but do you think you'll ever learn to bring it back.

My dog knows which day of the week is Sunday. The routine is different and more exciting for her on a sunday. She jumps on the bed and wakes me up very early, full of excitement. The rest of the week she has a lie-in and waits until I'm ready to take her out before stirring. I haven't figured out yet how she knows it's sunday but she definitely knows. No doubt about that.

But I doubt she's yet figured out whcih day of the year is Christmas Day, so unless it's a Sunday I guess it'll be business as usual...

The house dogs will be asleep in front of the fire, so they just get fussed over by the children. I usually throw one of the servants to the guard dogs.
