A smooth passage across to France in the car is no longer forecast.

Got the impression they've shifted the whole Eurostar problem to Eurotunnel,
which itself is about to go t!ts up

Is this the title of a film, book, or song?

Oh well - something to look forward to! Bon Voyage maybe.

Little lad thinks it's going to be a crackin' adventure
Will remind him of that when he needs a wee, in a 5-mile tailback

Booked (over 6 months ago) for Wed morning train
Could be a frustrating day

Eurostar will hopefully resume tomorrow.

Cars/trucks cancelled until further notice.
Report Huckerson • December 21, 2009 12:57 PM GMT
They're trying to get displaced people home, not interested in betfairians wanting to go to France. Don't waste your time.
Report cunnybobbler • December 21, 2009 1:03 PM GMT
if youre serious then you must be crackers mcdackers.

No alternative
Got a Christmas break booked in France until Sunday

Worth the risk of delays rather than throwing the whole thing away

Fingers crossed that some sort of normality returns tomorrow or Wed
Report everythings gone green • December 21, 2009 1:25 PM GMT
Police won't let you anywhere near the terminal. Accommodation will be full, temperatures freezing.

Are you mad?
Report Huckerson • December 21, 2009 1:38 PM GMT
Every alternative, don't go. You clearly haven't read the BBC website. They are not taking people, end of.
Report everythings gone green • December 21, 2009 1:43 PM GMT
I presume you mean you are hoping for things to start moving so you can leave home on Wednesday morning?

If so, good luck. If not, you're mad!

Poppydog.

It ain't looking good - Eurostar advising us to cancel as will not guarantee any pre booked journeys until back log cleared. They are unlikely to get back to full service until after Boxing Day and every train that does run will be to clear the backlog
Report cunnybobbler • December 21, 2009 1:54 PM GMT
well it must be an expensive christmas break if you want to go through all that hassle.
Report cunnybobbler • December 21, 2009 1:55 PM GMT
write it off and enjoy christmas here imo.
Report Poppydog. • December 21, 2009 2:23 PM GMT
It's a pre-booked (July) journey already confirmed and paid-for
It's on Wed morning
It's not a day-trip (5 day return)
Nothing to do with Eurostar

Still quite concerned though
