Some shop bought curries and nan breads etc are brill nowadays and great value. They used to be terrible, say about 15 years ago.
I wouldn't try and cook a curry.
Report sibaroni • December 20, 2009 2:45 PM GMT
Curries a good call. You have to be really good to make a good curry.
Report postmannick • December 20, 2009 2:46 PM GMT
so how do you make a good curry?
Report sibaroni • December 20, 2009 2:47 PM GMT
I wish I knew, I am supporting the shop bought stuff on this. Except Thai curries, they are easy enough.

curries, stews, soups, chillie.all so much easier and tastier home made than the balls you get in cans and packets
Report Gene Hackman • December 20, 2009 3:13 PM GMT
I much prefer a home cooked curry than bought stuff these days.
You can easily get all the ingredients. One of the simplest things to make imo.

Almost Gene, although i do like to buy frozen parsnips ...they seem to work a treat when roasted.

I buy a lot of ready made items rather than cook it myself simply through laziness and saving time ,but home made is unbeatable in the right hands

ANY sandwich
In a blind tasting youd be hard pressed to identify the filling in a shop bought one.
