M o m, your argument is flawed. You seem to be asking wether a paedophile should be prosecuted if no child has been harmed, but it is only when a child has been harmed that we know who the paedo's are.

What I'm trying to say is that paedo's who don't act on their impulses are anonymous and therefore unpunished.

This includes indecent images, photo's of kids, illegal whereas cartoons ( anime ), some of which are extremely graphic are legal because no children have been harmed.

This is bollokcs. Some things in life need to be dealt with, not understood. By definition, a paedophile is attracted to children and will groom them. Having them living close by, as some counselor has determined they have their urges under control makes about as much sense for children as having a pitbull as a family pet.

I DIDNT SAY THIS DID I, i said send them to a deserted island. and i said my opinion is better than yours as we could use any crime and use it as an example, burglary for instance, if i had a family members house robbed i may say the ideal punishment would be murder, would that be the best thing? no but someone else not involved will deal a less harsh punishment but its likely to be a fairer one as that person isnt involved.

You seriously can not compare the effects of a burglary on it's victims, even the elderly, to a sex crime - especially committed on a child. I have a theory about this sort of thing.

I believe there is a hormonal imbalance or deficiency that affects peoples sexual orientation when they are anything other than hetrosexual.

This creates the attraction of some to others of the same sex, minors and even other bizarre and less common cases like the attraction to animals and lifeless objects etc.

Of course the act of paedophillia is rightly frowned upon in society as it creates child victims.

You're always going to get your sick members of society who are hetrosexual and get a kick out of going against the norm but those with these innate urges beyond their control should be treated as being biologically deficient as opposed to sick animals.

I think in years to come paedophiles and such like will be held permanently in high security wards instead of your standard prisons. Examples of these already exist in the US.
