it's the glory though isn't it. i'd be proud to be a countdown champion and wouldn't really care what the material prize was.
i remember one final once and it looked impossible that this man could win. he needed to get an 18 pointer in the last words game. when he declared NINE i thought he was just going to come out with any old nonsense.
