Have had a towel radiator in the bathroom for 5 years, yesterday the flexible/braided pipe that connects it started leaking and the water ran down the inside of the wall into a plug socket downstairs, not ideal.
Anyway I replaced it and all was fine. Today however the other side has started leaking out of the pushfit connection on that side's flexible hose.
I didn't touch this yesterday and I've pushed it firm but still it leaks, I don't get it. I was wondering if the pressure in my central heating has for some reason got higher than normal? If so can I purge the pressure or something?
I paid £60 for a call-out yesterday for the boiler man. He came, turned the thing to reset and in 3 seconds in worked. Exactly what we have been doing for a day and a half, but by some unbelievable luck, whatever it was that was causing it not to ignite, did so as the fecker came through the door.

If the 'push-in' fitting you refer to uses an o-ring seal it will likely work BETTER with the application of pressure. An o-ring is a 'dynamic' seal and requires pressure to activate it properly. Of course, it could have a nick in it. If it is some sort of flat seal, I have no idea how that would work as a 'push-in' seal. :-(
