When I think of how much it cost to travel Europe by train 20-odd years ago. Some experiences can be pretty anecdotal though. It was actually heading to Brussels but diverted to Budapest. I managed to get a couple of return flights to France for £60 on a new route, just a little gutted when they cancelled the flight 3 weeks before as it was a good deal or so I thought.
