while Willie Mullins seems to have a stranglehold on this race apart from perhaps Comfort Zone , the Adonis Hurdle on Saturday is the last recognised trial and Scriptwriter, who I believe is comfortably the best GB trained entry is a possible runner. Meanwhile today at Market Rasen, Active Duty seeks to advertise the form of both Comfort Zone and Scriptwriter.

Don’t know if your were involved at seven barrows back in 2010 hibore but I remember been at Wolverhampton midweek must have been this week when there was a very strong message for soldatino for the triumph at the time Ladbroke had the racecourse betting office and you could get plenty on ,they were 10/1 so it was with great interest I watched the Adonis a few days later.

No, only the last few years with Nicky. There seemed to be many more whispers around racetracks 10-20 years ago about horses from different yards on both flat and jumps. Very few these days unless you are connected with stable.

Just looked and Kasbah was 171 hurdles and 115 flat at his best. Won Group 1 Cadran as well. Must be up there with best dual purpose horse in last 30 years. Won over £1 million as well.

And Joseph took Nusret out of the Triumph and left it in FW is in opposition , however all Nusret's top runs have been left handed . I have the 25s for the FW .

A strange decision given that is widely believed here that Blood Destiny is a good horse, but not as good as Lossiemouth. Makes me wonder if all is OK with Lossiemouth

I wonder if the DRF run took the shine off? Lossiemouth surely had problems in running, but she was held at the line. Meanwhile, we don't know if Blood Destiny will act on good ground. I wonder if Gala Marceau has been given enough credit for her DRF win? She could still be improving, might be Blackmore's ride, and could therefore represent a bit of value.

With Sir Gino at the helm of the betting at 6/4 post his scintillating triumph at the weekend Mr Mullins is unleashing his contenders in the DRF this weekend. His main ones are Storm Heart (13/8); Salvator Mundi (4/1); Bunting and Kargese (both 7/1); Highwind (10/1). Elliot has Kala Conti (6/1) and Joseph Intellotto (10/1).

Peking Opera has good Flat form. My immediate £64k question is why AOB sold the horse instead of handling it to Joseph? I hope Peking Opera is a good recruit to sticks.

Yes I wouldnt disagree , especially for only 100 grand , obviously gelded now but even so , conformation /temperament/something physical anyway either Garry can sort and has a bargain or done a rick .

Happy to have a little 33s Peking after that performance and GM's comments post race , may be money down the drain but I actually liked the horse's manner of doing things and Kempton on the 24th will tell us more . Ryan said he was ' mad ' buying it , so I hope that was a discounted price .

Kargese was very keen on debut, refusing to settle for D. Mullins. She made rapid progress on the home turn and paid for her early excursions and just failed to pick up the winner.
Yesterday she settled much better, but still enthusiastic, and ran out a ready winner.
If she takes another step forward, and in receipt of her mares allowance, she must be a danger to the very impressive Sir Gino.

I'd be amazed if Sir Gino is not withdrawn today given the way his other charges have under-performed over the last couple days at the Festival; Shishkin (scoped badly) and Jonbon (no reason) were withdrawn yesterday.
Same story, different day!
