That is now the situation in the Tattersalls area. I had to push through it a couple of times. Drunken gangs of louts singing, shouting ,seeking attention. Fortunately the members is still mainly people who go forthe horses not the beer, not the bands, not the fashion parade.Looking at a box next year .....if at all !

Another 4 day festival completed. Cheltenham do a great job accommodating so many people each year. Members bars were easy to get drinks and food. I went between the Insurance bar as purchased a seat this year and bookie “pod” in the Orchard area. Both had plenty of room and great atmosphere…jumping from bar to bar in Club is a recipe for disaster in my experience. Wednesday was incredibly wet and I didn’t move from the “pod” all day like many others. We all booked into the Parade Ring view restaurant on the Friday @ £660 and this was poor value as service was very slow, food only average and couldn’t even see the parade ring as shielded by the big stone staircase and bridge. I went back to the Insurance bar and my seat outside after the Albert Bartlett.
In general a great week again meeting up with good friends and making some new ones.
Cheltenham well done for putting on the best NH Show on earth.

We were in Tatts all week. Tue was ok, not much you can do about Wed weather but Thu and Fri were ridiculous - like the sardine tin experience from more than a decade ago when they only had a fraction of the space they have now. I thought they were limiting the capacity these days but obviously that has been scrapped in favour of coining it in to the max. Certainly seemed to be loads of room in club - acres in fact for the corporate crowd and more areas where they keep the riffraff out now e.g. you used to be able to stretch your legs and wander round the shopping stalls with a Tatts ticket but not any more. Wifi which had been a lot better in recent years was patchy at best, in some areas of the course phones were completely useless. Might as well have been in the Best Mate enclosure on the other side of the track - at least over there most of the idiots are packed into a big tent at the back and out of the way. Overall I think I enjoyed it more sat at home watching it on tv last year. If it goes to 5 days next year that will be a good excuse to miss a day or two

Lots of people not there forthe racing, just wanted a Photo with friends for watsup, facebook or twatter, beer r the bands.
Yet in the paddock there were owners and trainers , knew their horse had no chance but also had to be seen to be there .....in their eyes.

Don't know if this is old news but seems like next year will be 4 days after all given that the dates have been announced and tickets on sale
Tatts tickets up another £7 each day. £195 total => £223 total (14% increase). £50 for a Best Mate ticket on friday, a year in advance
