The stayers looks wide open with all the obvious ones with questions to answer and you could not be confident about any of them, to that end SONG FOR SOMEONE seems, to me at least worth a punt at 50/1.
He's predominantly been a 2 miler and although not of the quality that has seen some 2 milers be able to transfer that class to the stayers division and win, he has raced at a high enough level to be a big danger in this race...should he stay.!!!! He's won and been placed in the Bula in both cases coming home well so likes the new course. He ran buzz to 3 lengths giving him 6lbs when upped in trip earlier in the season and buzz would have been close to favourite in this race. In a race full of ifs, buts and maybes, there are enough positives about him to make 50's a bit too big IMO. |

I will take a chance on Doctor Duffy for the Ultima , probably wouldnt have beaten Death Duty lto , but case was unproven after the unseat and it was its first chase for 18mths , when Galvin at levels around here was asking alot . 40s available .

well its up against a what most people are saying is an unbeatable horse so id suggest that makes it a long shot regardless of price, anything that was second fave to frankel was still short but thee chance of beating him was long.
hope that helps. |

Glory & Fortune has an e/way squeak in whats a poor champion hurdle barring the fav.
Ran a great race against Epatante @ Kempton but for making a bad mistake @ 2nd last would have run her close Scythed thro the Betfair hurdle like a really good improving horse and made such a good jump @ 3rd last hit front too soon but held on well. Tom |Laceys horses are flying @ moment. Had a double @ Taunton today. Reckon he will be ridden for a place option whilst others are bursting their bubble Way overpriced @ 150 s here but got to be an e/w play if you could get 4 places or without the fav. |

Al Boum Photo e.w. 10/1 on most lists.
Barely went two fences last year without a mistake yet ran on doggedly at the end to be pretty close. Can't see him not making the frame and a squeak of winning makes it a worthwhile bet for me. |

City chief was mine ew till it went **** up on Monday
5lb pen given if it takes it place Thursday can’t see it running now but the old timer been a freak all season Should be 4/4 at Chelts |

Good Risk at All still Betfair favourite but is only reserve. No way I will be having any more bets on that race until it is certain if he runs or is eliminated. Nobody else wants Christopher Wood so I am probably wrong but I don't understand how it can be 90. Like the EBF race on Saturday a string of places but no wins is often the form to concentrate on. The last thing you want is a win that is almost always a significant weight rise.

Dame de Compagnie is interesting (25/1) in the Pertemps. Several course wins, and 1 lb lower than when she won the Coral Cup in 2020.
The Bosses Oscar for the Coral Cup (33/1). Second in the Pertemps last year, been chasing, back over hurdles for this. Allocated top weight, but Rob James takes off 7. |

Christopher Wood is joint top on RPR rating with McFabulous and Grand Roi and second best to Drop The Anchor on topspeed. Despite that he is nearly 20 to be in the first four and 80 to win. What am I missing? Those are still my fancies in an impossible Coral Cup.
|
By:
Christopher was fifth but of course I didn't play a place at all. He beat a lot of the fancied ones though.

The significant going change surely allows us to change our view and I do.
This going not so good for Al Boum Photo but very good for Royal Pagaille so I change my selection. 10/1 best price for him too at present. |
By:
I see Stautuare is 28/1 (44 on the exchange) for the Mares' Novice Hurdle. That's a big price for a horse that won a Grade 1 against geldings this season, albeit she has a Grade 1 penalty and got well beaten last time out.
|

Only sixth in the end as of course they never show more than 4 past the post unless they are very close together and RTV called him fifth after the race. Venetia ran 4 and got prize money with all of them.

I can't resist £2 e/w on Elegant Escape in the last. He has lost his way lately but with an amateur lady rider and 20lb drop in 2 years, he is surely a possibility.
