To all you Cheltenham forumites

Next time you see six horses die at your meeting
Next time you sit down to breakfast ,lunch or dinner at the festival  and eat dead animals in your paddy power lounges

remember you are disrespecting these animals

Is that now still o k ?

The slaughter of gordon elliot has now reached disrespectful levels. If he commits suicide now remember you were part of the reason.

Remember you are supporting the abuse of dead animals

All the horses I had were far hapier running free, not dying from a fall at a steeplechase fence. These animals are all being abused for our pleasure.

Remember that before you jump on the next bandwagon !

agree it is way over the top but in this age of social media /smart phones etc anything can be recorded and come back to haunt you.

dont get the connection between eating a bacon sandwich with a bit of brown sauce and posing on a dead horse.....sorry......and yes nothing pains me more than seeing fatalities on racedays...but the tents go up to respect them...doubt folk are trying to get a snap in with the stricken beasts

Not sure the OP’s analogy is relevant to the point he’s making about a disproportionate response to the Elliott incident.

Foyleswar is spot on. A reputation can be destroyed in double quick time particularly given widespread use of camera phones and the power of social media.

The original error of judgement was then compounded by both Elliott and IHRB.

Elliott for issuing a nonsensical explanation for why he’s been snapped sat on a dead horse when he should have handed his licence in pending the outcome of an investigation.

IHRB for handling the aftermath in typical cack-handed fashion and certainly no sense of urgency.

We are talking about disrespecting a dead animal
By sitting on it

Not killing it
Chopping it up
Cooking it
...and sticking it in yoursandwich !

How do you think they get the carcass onto the lorry

They put ropes around it and drag it on the floor then up a ramp.

Hardly respectful .....

I hope gordon is mentally ok and people have gone to far.

The OP is a total and utterly 2 faced cant, the OP hounded and bullied a forumite pretty much 24/7 on the greyhound forum who sadly died this year, many had heated disagreements with said forumite but the bullying the OP subjected him to was disgusting, while most of us who used to post on the greyhound forum know each other personally now, this weapon still hides behind his username. The irony of him making this thread is not lost on me, I'd ignore all the piece of sheet says.

You are absolutely right about one thing. I am a hypocrite and I have trouble dealing with it.

The other point you make is also somewhat ironic in view of this .....

Woody with respect you're a potless mug who's holidays cost less than most peoples lunch for the week so give me a break with this hanging on everything you say... Everybody is just pissed off reading aftertiming bullcrap that pretty much nobody believes.
As much as I don't get on with Irishone at the best of times I have to hand it to him, he had you worked out at an early stage when myself and others defended (wrongly) you

woodmanchester • June 11, 2019 12:00 PM BST
You and Irish quote things from months, even years ago

You know what... I think it's time for me to go the way the majority of others have gone when it was good on here and retire from the place..

Have fun posting your utter ballacks....

What's wrong with paying £129 per person for a holiday in a good budget apartment rather than spend thousands, anyway. It's still the same weather, sea and beach

Also somewhat ironic Chris that as a dublin man you can come on here extolling the virtues of being in a forum gang . Is this the same gang of members you refer to?

I said I had many heated disagreements with him and said things I should not have and am not proud of but then I met the bloke many times racing, I bought and had beers with him, I laid him bets, I gave him free tickets to the races, I may have disagreed with him a lot and argued but also went out of my way to help him.

You on the other hand bullied him right up until his sad death, you are a vile piece of sheet that doesn't have the balls to come out form behind your username, you wouldn't have the balls to meet up with any of the people you regularly  abuse on here.

You can search for all of my past posts or post what you like about me now as I rarely if ever pop my head in here anymore and it's water of a ducks back to me, however I felt it right to call you out on this hypocritical bullsheet you posted when I've never seen anybody slaughter anybody online as bad you did that man.

My o p was directed at handling guilt.

I take your points but obviously disagree.

If you let ignorance take over we will all be in the sheet as you say.

We had two choices , walk as you did or fight as I did.

I dont blame you for that at all. You have to fight ignorance in my opinion not ignore it and walk away.

Just my opinion, is there any way we can forget about it and just move on ?

Im off down the beach for a walk now , hope the rain is getting warmer over there !

I would wonder, judging by the tone of a lot of his posts if irish would be quite as vociferous in his defense of Elliott if Elliott wasn't Irish himself?

It is difficult to imagine irish coming at this issue on that basis with a balanced view IMO.
