A busy x'mas programme has shone further light on the chances of the main protagonists and probable winners. Only 11 weeks to go, and I hope most of mine turn up raring to go.

A bonus if the majority turn up for their respective gig in 2021 despite the challenges of Covid. |

Surprisingly all still standing but expecting a few gremlins come race days. Have "managed" Shishkin (11/1 & 14/1) and Champ (big prices thanks to Sottsass) - to stake money; probably "managed" others too if Shishkin (so many doubles/trebles/accas) obliges. Also, Energumene (recently) in doubles/trebles/accas with similar just in case - all nrnb.
It'd be nice to initiate a few shekels with the selections on the Flat. |

a fair few of mine have fell by the wayside nature of the beast ,melon ,samcro ,saint roi ,fury road, to name a few ,backing at big prices tho so stakes not too damaging although not ideal, have a fair few that hopefully will make the festival one or 2 winners is hoped for any more would be great ,not long to go good luck everyone.

Indeed, one or two winners can make the Festival. For me if Shishkin (he's significant) and Envoi Allen oblige everything is paid for given the win double prices; these two plus any other eg Epatante or Santini or Champ or Paisley Park or ABP will bring a nice return. A bonus and something to look forward to if they go on my Flat selections - no further outlay. But, so many hurdle to cross between now and Cheltenham prior.
Let's hope everyone has a good Cheltenham, and the bookies get a good spanking. |

Anyone seriously believe Elliot's horses will be refused participations at Cheltenham? Elliot could be banned from Cheltenham but his horses will be allowed to run, why? The horseracing authority will not punish the owners, only the trainer. Thus, value could be had for some of his principals eg Envoi Allen and Zanahiyr.

I doubt that any investigation outcomes will be completed until after Cheltenham and so no action can be taken until then. Also as stated by others, you cannot penalise the owners for the actions of the trainer, especially in a case like this one

Our BHA could be guilty of double standard if imposing a ban on Elliot's ability to train whilst Sheikh Mohammed was let off scot-free regards one of his retained trainers doping horses. If the same doping event had happened recently eg after the kidnapping/imprisonment of his two daughters, Princess Shamsa and Latifa and the abuse and threats against his former wife Princess Haya a different result would probably be the result.

My cash out on Envoi is now suspended and has been all day. Not much more than 50/50 IMO.

No worries. The idiots here have ages ago eg French Derby winner with Envoi Allen and one other. However, the nrnb with a winner are still ok. Also, no takers for Energumene at 10.5 here in The Marsh either.

I understand that there is value to be had antepost but, I don't place my bets until about a minute before the off as there is so much else to consider that can affect the value - the ground & watering, temperament, sweating, pulling on the way to post, market.
