I get I free £5 and £10 bet ever week from 2 different bookies for betting £25 and £50 respectively so have been putting on bets for Cheltenham but put in another horse running during the week to double it up. Not had that many winning so far and would probably be just as well putting on singles but hey ho.

Bets for far are.

Supreme...... Fayonagh 12/1
Arkle...........Defi Du Seuil 10/1
JLT..............Finian's Oscar 12/1
RSA.............  Death Duty 20/1

I know ante post betting is a minefield these days as there are so many choices for each horse but its not costing me anything.

Might get a bit of value somewhere along the line.

Been doing a very similar thing. Presume the bookies are Poweres & 5kybet? I have been slowly having some of Blow By Blow for the AB & Finians Oscar in the same race as you. All doubled with LAD to win their baseball division

Yeah JB that's the bookies  . 12/1 Finians Oscar seems a good price but who knows if he will run in the race, Might not take to a fence either.

Add Native River and Fox Norton to the list.

Looks life Defi Du Seuil isn't going for the Arkle though.

No concern about the mares novice for Fayonagh?

Fayonagh could definitely be good enough for the supreme, personally I think Elliott will pick up the race in Ire the end of Jan (as Let's Dance done) then if it wins any race at Cheltenham picks up 100k for the stable lads. So for me it's the mares hurdle

Concerns about multiple race entries for a lot of my selections but they are free bets so not costing me anything.

Put on Finians Oscar for the Arkle too now as Defi Du Seuil looks like hes hurdling this season.

Friday, Defo a good idea to pick Finians Oscar for the Arkle. The horse was always a chaser waiting to happen, and the fact he was so good over hurdles gives me confidence for a speed and stamina test in the Arkle.

Red Jack for the Supreme now too.

PP are 16/1 Any race at the Festival, for RED JACK, and you can put it in multiples (trixies etc).

Red Jack now cut to 12/1 with PP and as low as 8s with SB to win any race. WH is best at 14/1 but each-way is not available. Do any other firms have prices on this? No indication on Oddschecker.

Betfair Sportsbook have RED JACK at 14/1 to win Any Race at The Festival.

Deepingfox how are you doing multiples on the to win any race market? I've just tried on pad pow and the only option I have is singles only........ I have always been under the impression multiples didn't exist in this market!!

Belated thanks, Deepingfox, but Sportsbook is win only. Took 12/1 e/w with Paddy. (Can't post here on laptop, only on tablet. Puzzled as to why.)

Ive got Red Jack to win any Festival Race with PP, in a Win Yankee with Saxon Warrio (2000 Gns), Disko (Chelt Gold Cup) and Finians Oscar (Arkle). Also done similar yankee incl Cause of Causes (XCountry) incl Red Jack any Festival race. No probs booking online. Maybe it would be different if I had picked Novice Hurdle possibles alongside Red Jack.

My first Cheltenham bet just placed.  Ballyandy 25/1 for the Arkle.  Might be a bit shorter if he wins well at Perth today (might be a bit longer if he doesn't).  Seems a fair price to say he went off Fav for the Supreme.  I have a doubt though he may just be short of top class but at 25/1 I hope I'm wrong.

I'd have him more of a JLT type shocks. I think movewiththetimes has a touch of class and would be my Arkle pick at this stage.

Wellchief - You could be right about the JLT, but it looks (at this stage) more competitive to me and Ballyandy went for the Supreme last year and went off Fav.  I've not gone barmy but at 25/1 thought it was worth a nibble. You've got to start somewhere. Excited

Movewiththetimes 28/1 (was 25, but got a price boost with badblokes) for the Arkle, and
Finian’s Oscar 16/1 RSA. Happy to have a small wager here and see where he ends up. I would probably oppose over fences at the shorter distances at the moment, given the Chepstow run. Next run will be interesting.

Backed SAMCRO for the Supreme Novice at the Festival at 20/1. Shows a lot of speed, and he will be the stables best chance of a Novice a hurdle winner, and I am gambling that they will want a day1 race 1 win, with a horse that could run either day 1 or day 2. Odds now reduced to 16/1 but I can see plenty of contraction in that price, esp if lining up and winning the 2m Grade 1 Royal Bond Hurdle in 5 weeks time.

Just backed Samcro for the Supreme deepingfox. Will be due you a drink if he wins although he is considerably shorter for the Neptune.

Its a gamble. But 16s is way too high, when he could line up in any novice race. If they kepp running in 2m races he gets the chance to show he has speed. Its the same plan I saw with Saxon Warrior after his debut win over 8f. He looked all speed and so the 33s 20s and 16s between debut and RP Trophy win were way too big to resist. Only priced like that because majority thought Derby colt. Best to go against the crowd when you see something different to them. Sometimes works. Fingers crossed.
