crikey,i saw him win the leger at a sodden donny,think i had a pound on him as i was still at school,my dad brought me up on lester and i backed him virtually blind,no real significance in me choosing the name,just one of plenty of horses i associated with piggott from that era and my dad always took me to the leger,tried nijinsky first i think and it had already gone.
