I believe that McKenna may well win on points here - a good outside bet at 4s. But then probably best to take all the McKenna win outcomes at 10/3 somewhere if you can.
Turarov is fancied as another Kazakh star, and does have good head movement and decent hands. But in all honestly, he hasn't really beaten anyone of any worth yet, and has struggled to make this weight in the past, and also for this bout.
McKenna is not a banger, and rarely stops people, but this type of fighter is often underrated precisely because of that handicap (understandably). He may not be world class as such, and already has some points losses, but has already passed the chin & heart tests as far as I'm concerned.
I feel this bout goes to the judges, but that is short enough. It's not much to see an upset here on the cards, as McKenna has already received favourable treatment in his 'win' over Frenchman Mimoune in the Golden Contract series.
Strongly feel that McKenna doesn't get stopped, and that if Turarov is not 'very good', then McKenna's liveliness, chin, heart, and 'favour' may see him to the win here.
“I will not be able to participate in the tournament due to the coronavirus,” Turarov confessed on Saturday through social media. “Upon arrival in Dubai, I started experiencing symptoms of withdrawal, fever and shortness of breath. After the obligatory PCR for the fight on April 1, I tested positive. I was isolated in a hotel room, this was the reason for my absence from the weigh-in.
However, despite this, I trained and ran inside the hotel room all these days, I kept in shape even though I was sick, and weighed in isolated conditions. After that I insisted on passing the second test. Unfortunately, it also showed a positive result, and understanding my responsibility to others, and also due to the forced isolation, I was removed from the fight. If not for this, I would’ve destroyed my opponent in three rounds, even in my current condition.”
