What is the reason for Eddie not wanting AJ to fight Wilder ?

Wilder wants the fight to take place in the US, Hearn/AJ want it to take place in the UK. That's the main reason why it hasn't happened yet and won't happen for a good while yet either.

Just need Fury to beat Wilder. It will be impossible to duck Fury, public clamour for it will be too much.
Too much politics to overcome to make AJ v Wilder. Barely any politics to overcome to make AJ v Fury. Fury will be happy to fight in the UK. Only stumbling block will be the split.

He's never gonna leave the UK unless the offer is ridiculous, and they can't probably actually fund a truly ridiculous offer. This whole $50m crap, clearly had no actual financing. I'd love to know the purses for Wilder vs Fury they've agreed.
He's never gonna leave the UK I can agree with. The only reason I can see him seriously considering an easy defence in America is if DAZN throw a load of money at him if he comes to the US to make a defence.

yeah that makes sense, I hope it happens whilst there both still youngish, the biggest disappointment in Boxing in the last 20 years has been Mayweather and Pacquaio not fighting years earlier! I watched the fight with Wilder-Ortiz and Wilder was there for the taking, his resume is not that impressive given the calibre of fighters so I don't think it's half a big a risk as Eddie seems to think it is, his unorthodox open style seems perfect for AJ to exploit, I think Fury-AJ however would be a points decision. Would a neutral venue be out of the question?
Yes as it won't make business sense, and will leave too much money on the table to be at a neutral venue.
