FFS Molina and it's PPV !!! Chief support two slow overweight heavies slugging it out. Is this taking the P1$$ out of Sky Sports subscribers or what. I hope it flops on PPV and they get burned. After the Haye v Fraudely fiasco a few years ago, I thought they learned a lesson about poor offerings on this platform.  Looks like they are back taking the wee again, hoping to rope in as many mugs as they can for a nice Christmas bonus to close out the year. It will be cringeworthy listening to them trying to defend this. Thankfully the online links are getting better !

Joshua should be ashamed taking these fights on PPV now he is World Champ

If he had any respect he would demand a big fight

Even a rematch with Whyte is more PPV worthy
Report Shrewd_dude November 1, 2016 7:24 PM GMT
Yeah absolute piss take having this on PPV. They will say he was the best opponent they could get at late notice but there's arguably 3 better heavyweights than Molina fighting on the undercard. Ortiz and Chisoara would be better fights and arguably so would a Whyte rematch.

is this seriously a PPV?
Report n88uk November 4, 2016 9:06 AM GMT
Yes. Has a "stacked undercard" of course.

Which actually just means fans lose out because Whyte vs Chisora was meant to headline its own card, I'm pretty sure at least 1 other fight was moved to this card too. So it's a double whammy, we get a crap PPV, and the surrounding cards get weaker because of this PPV.

Sad thing is AJ is so popular that this will still probably sell well. There are actually some good fights on the undercard (the Yafai fight is one I want to see), but I could never pay PPV for this when the main event is a knockover job.

No wonder Fury wouldnt sign with these companies they just feed you whatever is on the plate.A world champ taken last minute scraps well i hope he gets knocked out before he even fights a proper champ as he is no more than a bully.

Remember him and Hearn sat laughing at how many people retired after they fought him.Well they where already retiring and they payed them a final payday.

Joshua should be calling everyone out or saying i want the best. Klit fight was never happening just all hype

No wonder Hearn goes on about he wants  new crowds at boxing as he wants people who know f.all about it
Report TheChaser November 5, 2016 5:38 PM GMT
People say Fury has more experience etc

But he chased Haye and Klit for years Joshua so far is the biggest fraud in UK sport more than David Haye

Grant yeah to getmein and Viagogo etc the robbing barstewards are probably getting double already and dont even have tickets in hand.

Tickets for anything sell out in minutes due to those sites and ticketmaster is a getmein partner so its just them selling them more expensive on another site.

Bellew vs Clev was worse.

I guess you can argue it was a better fight, in terms of it was close to a 50:50. But there was literally no need for that to be PPV, it was just a pure money grab with a "stacked undercard". Plus the fight turned out to be sh*t, which most people expected anyway, at least this will probably be exciting for the few rounds it lasts.

Back in the day there was some horrendous PPV's too. As bad as the Hearn stuff can be, there was some horrendous Khan PPV's with like no undercard of note. Haye vs Harrison was a joke PPV with little to no undercard.

Report n88uk November 6, 2016 11:14 PM GMT
The real problem with PPV's and same with Bellew vs Clev is they are PPV clearly to just hit a quota of PPV's. Ie. this has been a planned PPV date for a long time in advance, so they have to come up with something. Same thing happened with Bellew vs Clev I'm pretty sure. There's nothing PPV worthy about it, and it goes totally against what Hearn said when he first come on Sky about PPV only being reserved for the big fights. There are no big fights on this card, but it's still PPV.
Report tobermory November 7, 2016 5:47 PM GMT
Thye may as well make Whyte v Chisora the main event and market it that way, probaly wouldn't do any worse.

I agree there were a lot of awful PPVs back in the day , where Sky would have a UK fighter that had reached a certain level of popularity and just make all his fights PPV regardless of opponent.

I do recall Hatton v Lazcanao non title fight PPV .

Also was Calzaghe a PPV every fight , even against Tocker Pudwill et al Confused

any joshua fight will be a big seller.
Report Shrewd_dude November 8, 2016 9:31 PM GMT
Don't think Calzaghe was ever PPV.

Fought Lacey on ITV. Fights after that were on Setanta.

The difference between this and a lot of the other crappy PPV's involving Hatton and Haye was at least they were coming off the back of fights that were arguably PPV worthy and had been fighting the top guys.

Joshua hasn't fought anyone and still every bum of the month is PPV.

Worse PPV since Khan v Prescott on the face of it which was on the back of Khan fighting Michael Gomez in previous fight.

When you look at UFC 205, cracking card all the way through and if you pay for BT then it's no extra charge which is how it should be. I've always thought paying for SKY and then having to fork out for a PPV is a piss take. Especially a PPV like this.
Report TheChaser November 10, 2016 4:46 PM GMT
If UFC 205 was in the UK it would probably  be PPV

The Pac Vargas fight was on Toprank Tv PPV but on Box Nation in the UK

Canelo Smith also Box Nation here but PPV in USA
Report TheChaser November 10, 2016 4:48 PM GMT
Due to times i would think as no one would really be buying many fights at 5am UK time

Not sure what happens with UK PPVS in America but it will be daytime so can't see many being PPV
