Buncey has just said that Crolla is the "underdog" for this one. Err, no! Not according to the bookies, Steve.
Anyway , 4/5 is available at freds and paddys (1.75 on here currently). On the face of it not a huge price against a "3- time World Champion", but if you know how Boxing works in this country, it represents very good value. Linares' best days are behind him. He was a bit lucky to beat kevin Mitchell, who had him on the floor, and i believe that Mitchell was on his last legs and ready to go, as was demonstrated in his subsequent fight against recent Crolla opponent Ismael Barroso. I made the mistake of underestimating Crolla last time out (although I had reservations), largely based on Barroso's stoppage of Mitchell. I'm not going to make the same mistake again, this time. I'll cover the draw as usual, but I will be having a substantial bet on Crolla to win this.

Already selling the rematch. Suits all parties. Is probably the biggest payday Linares can get, and he probably thinks it's a reasonably comfortable fight for him to win. And of course Crolla will want it.

From whose point of view though. Only reason Crolla won't take a rematch is if Hearn sees an easier route to a world title.

The only way I can see them not taking it is if they take on Flanagan instead. Financially it will make sense for Crolla too.

And ultimate most fighters will just want the biggest paydays. Someone like Crolla won't be a multi-millionaire so he will want the biggest possible paydays rather than fighting a few bums to work his way to a shot.

Agree with this. He didn't sound convinced he could beat him. He sounded like someone who knows he was beat by the better man (and no problem with that of course). If he really thought he could beat him you'd expect him to have called robbery, and shouting for an immediate rematch, but he wasn't. He admitted Linares deserved to win, and said he'd take a rematch but wasn't emphatic in saying it.

It's easier to say someone like Linares has been to 4 different continents though. He has to travel to get his paydays. Same with all South American fighters in general.

Crolla has no need to travel to get paydays.

Eddie is always going to say that right now though. You don't know what he will plan. But I think the rematch will happen. Politics will stop Flanagan happening, so unless he can get him another immediate shot where else is he going to go? He doesn't seem the type to be happy to fight a few bums for a year, he seems want to fight the best for the biggest paydays.

1) Crolla seems a very honest fella and did not convince me he wanted a re-match. He knows he was outclassed and would be again.

2) Linares didnt barely threw his right hand for several of the middle rounds and in interview said he had injured it and was protecting it for later rounds.
