Fowler celebrates, but he must know he's being hammered.
Fowler still 6.2 on the outright market, even thougn he's out. 
A lot of these olympic markets seem to be behind events, must be someone cashing in somewhere, though not large sums involved.

watching middleweights at the moment, but there is not much point in trying to bet on here. Some of the fighters I've been watching are not even listed in the 75kg category on Betfair, and Anthony Fowler is still listed on the market, even though he was eliminated yesterday. Watching a Zambian, Muziyo, who is not listed, neither is the Indian who won the last bout (although the American he beat is still listed on the market). Feck knows what is going on.

Great win for Britain's Light-heavyweight Joshua Buatsi, knocking out highly-rated Rasulov of Uzbekistan in the 3rd Rd.
just watched that fight, buatsi looks a promising sort. the other guy was number 3 seed as well.
seen him in a couple of interviews as well and he seems a really likeable bloke. one more fight for a guaranteed medal...

JOSHUA looked good again as heads into the semis.
Levit should win the 91kg bout, but some strange judging in 2nd round gave it to Tischenko. Good last rd for levit, if he doesn't get the nod there's something wrong!
Robbery! worst decision ever, no way Tischenko won that fight, he was nearly stopped fffs. 
Russian filth, in hindsight, from the start he boxed like he knew he'd already won
they even gave him a rest when he was being battered. 
That's what confirmed the fix and that everyone was in on it for me - the ref couldn't wait to give him that break (which he could have done at any time). the last round was 10-8 to levit and russian should have had standing count, feck knows what the Irish judge had been drinking!
yes, very strange that. It should serve as a warning though. Don't bet too much on Boxing, especially at the Olympics.
Dreadful decision: Levit was the clear winner and was near to flattening the big dude who looked like he had the flu.

just when you thought it couldnt get any worse....
Joshua Buatsi beaten in the semis, by a tricky southpaw from Kazakhstan. Right decision, Buatsi wasn't able to outbox an opponent with better footwork and smarter movement. Great performance, though, to get this far!
Super heavy Joe Joyce through to final with strong performance.
The kazak who beat Buatsi should take up kabaddi.....ran away for three rounds then held on when the opponent was in range.....the referees don't help , worse than useless
I thought he deserved the verdict, eyeball. Buatsi wasn't able to work him out.
I haven't seen the Conlon fight yet. rather controversial, I hear.
Conlan won. Didn't get the decision. So-called winner injured.
Two Americans didn't get the right verdict either.
The rules and refs seem ridiculous now.

The head injuries are invariably from head clashes or elbows, and there are very few knock downs let alone knock outs.
I remember Billy Walker used to be able to flatten them.

Light heavy final La cruz v Nyazimbatov, Cuban La Cruz - incredible refexes and movement, must be like fighting a mongoose or something. 
i think cruz was odds on fav at the start of the tournament.. you can see why now.. terrific display.

Good bout at 64 kg, Sotomayor just has the best of it in the last rd, imo. Good performance from both fighters.
great right at the end for Sotomayor, should seal it for him.
They gave it to Gaibnazarov, no complaints, but I though Sotomayor just edged it.
Sot for me as well.

good opening rd for joyce, aggressive and accurate, Yoka doesn't look comfortable.
2nd rd closer, should be Joyce, just, but these judges.
Boxing should be kicked out of the olympics - utterly filthy.
Another poor decision. I can only think that the judges ruled that a lot of Joyce's punches landed on the arms. But, still, Joyce threw and landed more, to my mind, certainly won the 1st Rd and should have had a share of the 2nd at least. On aggression and volume of punches, Joyce should have won.
Joyce seems to be quite stoical about it, But I woud be aggreived if I were him.
Thought Joyce won every round.....wasn't even close.....seen some really poor judging here but see it all the time in boxing....
As someone else has said you don't get such decisions when judges are used in other sports. It must have happened that a diver/gymnast etc hasn't been happy but I can't remember there ever being a big deal about decisions being just so blooody wrong!
I hate to say it now. But I had a funny feeling about this one. When they were going on about Yoka and his fiance ( who won a gold), I thought to myself "they sound like they want a feel-good, romantic story". I was on Joyce pre-fight, but as soon as I saw the decision in the Sotomayor fight (which was close to be fair, but wrong, imo) I laid off my stake on Joyce, just had a feeling that he wouldn't get a fair shake. Good on Joe Joyce for being so calm about it.

Sports that rely on a 'judge' about who wins always have a problem, such as this case.
I'm not British but Team GB robbed of gold there. I've been watching boxing for over 35 years but I've no idea how to score an amateur fight after Conlon, the heavyweight final and now the super Heavyweight final. The Turkish judge gave the French boxer all 3 rounds !!! What was he watching. The sad thing about it is that nothing will change, in 4 years time (when this will all be forgotten about) we will have a new set of controversies and the same debates will come up again.
Anyone else thinking a pro fight between Joyce and Yoka would be good? He'd smash the French poser into pieces which is prob why it would not happen.
As above though, I don't really get the point in amateur boxing - phoney sport really.

AND the whole scoring methodology is to be looked at following the result of the Conlan fight. In my book that's an admission that it was a wrong decision.
