sportsbook is useless on baskets, tried to place a bet 4 times and every time the odds sunk lower, all this in the space of 30 seconds, unreal!!!!!! never again
|

And on the European markets just bots bots and even more bots.
|
By:
and were only talking 5 pound bets, abso joke
|

The long time customers are expected to turn a profit on THESE markets, and if they do are required to turn 40% of their winnings back to the host. Amazing really anyone is left.

That being said, the in-play on p!nnacle is a joke. Line has changed everytime you attempt. Figures as your taking money directly out of their pocket.

Due to pc and the need for sleep I have hardly done any basketball this season.
I tried tonight seeing as it's MLK day and the games are staggered throughout the evening. What a joke. Absolutely zero liquidity on the points and caps, just a bookend bot with awful prices. Total waste of time. |
By:
probably the exact opposite of what most people say...liquidity/amount matched is not lowest but highest ever
however margins and the percentage of matched bets that dont involve bots are probably at a low |
By:
you either must be here few months or just working for bf. Its totaly disaster. Cant even compare how it used to be 3,4,5 years ago.
|
By:
i can. liquidity is much improved. some markets (1st qurater handicap) didn't even exist back then
one thing that hasn't changed: 3,4,5 years ago people complained about lack of liquidity |
By:
Are we talking low liquidity in play or pre off too? Not been in the hoops markets for a while, but there is a 20k lay for Phoenix right now. Not too shabby surely.

all about the fast feeds these day, nothing else

now there are some games pre play under 10k *
|
By:
Back in the day I could get 5-10K USD matched pre-off on any total at market prices. Now if I leave my bet up all day (first in line)I get a few hundred matched. Quite sad to see whats happened to my all time favourite internet gambling place.
|
By:
the total amount matched on basketball has gone up compared to 5 years ago
80% down is so ridiculous a comment i'll leave it at that |
By:
|
By:
*I remember times where 400k were matched pre play!
|
By:
of course you remember a single game out of 1000 a season where the amount matched was bigger than in a random game you pick out of this season because some people tend to use this kind of reasoning to "prove" a point

some games do seem to have very low liquidity

Few hours to go (5h)
Match odds market: boston@lakers Matched: GBP 810 Everything grows here. Frustration is on a first place ;) |

Can't get sh!t matched. Cut the charge BETFAIR and bring back some life to these sorry markets.

Glad that's cleared up. The next pressing question is does Jason Collins get his own changing room? If not the cheeky devil must have been in heaven this morning. Imagine being let into a lockeroom of professional sports women and watching them shower etc

I used to trade on a basket because that's one of my favorite sports. I guess you must be either a fastest man on a market or just person who sells chewing gums on a sunday market. Im closer to believe in second option. How can it grows up when we have no bets there? there is absolutely no point to stay during a night and wait for a good price. No bets no fun! Easy for me.
Have you seen this video? www.youtube.com/watch?v=FrFJQ0iGzw0&list=PLNeG_gj9HzAWMhKkdkZd9z1n6tVjQypWv&index=13 You must be very big fan of it. Hahaha Liquidity has gone up! hahaha |

Fixed your stats are for 2011, how about something more prudent say 2012- 2014????????????????????
|
By:
nah.....we are at 'liqidity up 100%" by quick copy pasting from different thread
your turn to do the data digging if you still cling to your belief, don't you think ??!! |

Data? One of the best teams in NBA:
New York - Chicago : Saturday 6PM- NO main football at this time- 25 k matched(!) on match odds market after first 5 mins in play. I have never seen that little matched at this time of a day. You dont need to dig ot at data.betfair.com (Ive tried but its not clear-its not like you going there and see how many bets were placed. You have to add those figures- too much effort) I feel as a trader that basket has dried up. Do you sell chewing gums or lollipops? Has you business gone up as basket at betfair? Hahaha @fixed. |
By:
no but instead of selling i could buy a million gums 1$ a piece !?
and as the guy with all the gums i call the shots: as far as we know over roughly a 5y period basketball liquidity is up 100%, your guesswork has you down 1000% and that's it (barring additional data showing something different) |
By:
I THINK BETFAIR VIDEO IS UNDER CUTTING LEAGUE PASS WHEN U CAN HAVE £10 AND WATCH ANY GAME U WANT. GRANTED ITS NOW SUPER HD QUALITY BUT GOOD ENOUGH.
I WASTED £170+ ON THAT **** THATS ALMOST 3 MINS BEHIND |
By:
Liquidity is up 100% hahaha! Dont be cynical.
Because I've joined forum in feb 2012 it doesnt mean that I dont know what used to happen here before, son. I used to do basketball and I was making lots of easy money here. Im not able to do it anymore- because it has completely dried up. Go and sell your sweets betfair is too complicated for you son. |
By:
This is purely a qualitative analysis, but it seems that liquidity has been a little better in-play since the New Year, though it is up and down on certain days and if there's something else on, like tennis particularly. But there is practically zero matched pre-match. I've given up trying on basketball before the off, and often even until the second half.
|
By:
yet there is no need for this kind of qualitative analysis as we have the data.
this is amazing. one doesn't need to look any further than this thread to see why 99% of gamblers lose money also after he obviously left us behind here i'd like to encourage the initial contributor (Mr. -1000%) to use his liquidity expertise on markets more deserving of his time ?! (stock exchange/money markets and of course special advisor to ECB, FED) |
