Hi, my apologies for interrupting, but I was a long time contributor to this forum prior to legalisation. Most of you will not know me, but I had a fairly important role in the legalisation of Betfair in Tassie, and thereafter. To those who knew my then....hello/
I wanted forumites from that era to be aware of the passing of Rushingpulse who was also a major contributor at that time. Chris could be awkward, argumentative, difficult, opinionated and dodgy. For all those things, I liked him.......
He had the benefit of a wonderful family and a happy life, but has now sadly passed away. I would like to pay respect to him and hope that forumites of that era will share that emotion. Stay luck everyone.......
Rushingpulse/All High/Star/*all sorts of names was one of my favourite people on the Betfair forum.
I'd only been posting (very infrequently) for a couple of months on Betfair circa 2005 when I nipped over to the Australian forum one morning after Ricky Hatton had won against Kostya Tszyu in Manchester.
There had been very little mention of the fight on Betfair the Saturday night it was fought and in the early hours (late afternoon in Aus) on the next day I was just wondering if anyone over in Aus appreciated as much as I had how Tszyu and Hatton had respected each other after their battle.
All High and Ian CP both responded to my posts in a very positive way - then abused each other - and I loved them both from that moment onwards!
I then made the Australian forum my second place of calling in to see what All High and Ian were talking about and many, many laughs were had reading their posts over the years.
One rather difficult morning over here, when All High was about, I mentioned how much I'd like to come over to Aus and he offered me accommodation should I ever visit.
And the daft thing is, I'm absolutely sure that two people who didn't know each other, posting on an internet forum under assumed names, 'speaking' infrequently, had a friendship that was totally real and should I have ever visited Aus it would have been like meeting up with a friend I'd known forever when I'd have met Chris.
I'm very sad that he's passed - but when we meet up one day, which we will, I'll definitely buy him a pie and a pint or several.
RIP Champ.
Oh no. That's very sad news indeed.Rushingpulse/All High/Star/*all sorts of names was one of my favourite people on the Betfair forum.I'd only been posting (very infrequently) for a couple of months on Betfair circa 2005 when I nipped over to the Aus
No doubt he was one of the Forum's all time greats. Remember his spruiking of Haradasun? Knowledgeable, cranky, argumentative and capable of great humour he reigned over the Australian Forum in it's halcyon days.
Nice to see IanCP here too.

Apart from tipping us regularly into some big odds (I remember a SA Oaks 15/1 winner and a 50/1 placegetter, it seems so long ago now), RP/Alhigh/SOM was one of the TRUE old school legends in a time of men who were actually LARGER than life.
Rest well in the big paddock old friend.

Very sad to read this. I used to post in those days and would stay up in the UK to bet and contribute to the daily Aus thread with Whiskers, Ian CP, Shiftmar etc.
I remember having a few jousts with that irascible b@stard and he'd always end his posts by telling me to FO . Good sense of humour and tipped quite a few winners. In particular I remember him supporting Elvstroem when he ran in the Prince of Wales when it was run at York in 2005.
One thread which got a few replies was when I told him he'd been knighted - he said the horses kept on saluting him.
I never met him but he offered on more than one occasion to put me up if I was anywhere near him when I visited Australia. Whilst he had a few forum names, I shall always remember him as All High
So, farewell you old slugslapper.
Don Giovani (sic)
PS: FO!

I had the pleasure of meeting Da Judge just last week.
He alerted me to this post and asked I pass on his condolences. I too remember Rushingpulse so RIP from me too.
