Its going to be a Hard 5 years for me, but after watching The Journey. I like Bolten.
Still think Blues can win every game this year. And will never give up.
They will scare a couple of teams 1st halves but expect them to be run down.
Keep Building and will be a Powerhouse again.

Go Blues

Thought a good game.  Nice and hard, but yeah, difficult to see anything too high from either, but figure a pretty good opening game......  Happy it is back.

Haven't really done anything since about November tbh.

Quick look shows GWS -11.5 @ 2.10 a bit of value.  Line is about 12.
1.98 getting 2.10.
Half time line -3.5 @ 1.95 GWS also looks pretty good.
1.86 getting 1.95.

Hey BJT I bet Dothraki gave you a bit of a thrill the other day, still would like to see them try him over a 1400m where with the slower tempo he can control things a bit.
Guess what I tipped North today it was almost against my religion to do so but I did in the end and the Dee's as well. Pity I din't get my tips in on time for the first round, just haven't been as enthusiastic about footy in the lead up to the season as am thoroughly disillusioned with  the prima donna attitude and behaviour of AFL players.

I think the Eagles might be in a bit of trouble at least early in the season a number of key players have had injuries already and very poor preseasons, am really looking forward to seeing the likes of Yeo, McGovern and Duggan go at it this year though, the first two are potential superstars and young Duggan looks very good.

One bloke who has had his best preseason ever however is big Jack, expect big things from Darling this season.

They'll win tomorrow, but then again I'm not exactly Einstein in saying that but after that it could be tough.

Think the Dockers are massive overs tomorrow and can cause the upset, they're a big chance of being right in the thick of things if they can get Bennell right and they'll be huge over the next few years.

Defensively a bit weak this year, Johnson on his last legs and already struggling with injury, a lot depends if he can hold together for long enough and Silvagni remaining injury free and how quickly young Pearce continues to develop.

Watch Michael Walters, he'll be something special this season.

Hooker already signed sealed and delivered for next season as is Cam McCarthy and possibly Hogan in the near future, hate saying it but they could be a powerhouse.

Yeah mate, big thrill.  Basically what I called pre race, that his chances would be determined by the leader and how far he kept going.  Got to the front a bit early, and switched off as he does, and then kicked again when challenged but lost too much ground.  Looked the winner, and leader goes an extra 150 metres, think he wins that, so absolutely stoked with him, and Shinn for a change, who rode him exactly as I wanted him to.

Think the 1400m too, but they are pretty settled with 1100-1200.  Will have to see how he is going, but think the 2 Brisbane sprints on the card.  Would be 3 runs in 6 weeks, 4/5/6th in his campaign to get to the Stradbroke, so not sure that is on the cards.  Pretty sure won't run the TJ Smith, but should be looking at the BTC and Doomben 10...  At least that is the picture I got from joining the dots.

Whoops I got the dockers game a bit wrong bjt Laugh they were pitiful today and dogs were good. Just as well they've got those players already signed up for next year they might really need them, their defense looked very porous today and that was always going to be the query this season and their attack was non existent, they're not much doubt they're better than that but that was ordinary today. The only bet I was am interested in having this weekend on the footy is the cats against the hawks, thinks the cats if they jell together will be right in the hunt this year. They've made out like bandits at the recruiting table.

Lets
I went to Dogs vs Dockers
Dockers where terrible, never had a Crack, no forwards what so ever. Tried to flood to stop a 200pt  thrashing.
Dogs a Top 4 side Freo will win at Home only and struggle to make 8 for mine.
WC just continue to Bully at Home.

Think Today Cats are Bet of the Round as Hawks missing many and a bit behind other teams.

Lloydy your boys are improved, already under bolton they look far more organised will at least be competitive against some of the lesser lights and might surprise some of the middle of the road teams.

I was impressed with the Eagles  even though it was only Brisbane who have improved by the way, like the way Simpson used Bennell in a new role, gee he covered some ground Yeo is poised  for a  big season as is the McGovernator providing he can remain healthy, (that shoulder is still a worry) Priddis has gone to another level as has Gaff who is poised to become one of the more damaging players around.

Sheed and Wellingham's injuries and lack of preseason prep are a worry though, Naitanui was frightening he's as fit and healthy as he's ever been and could be set to terrorise the competition.
