Cheers gents.  Five bucks.. £3.30 for 425 ml....£4.40 a pint.  Expensive but not extortionate, pint of stella about four quid here anyway.

That's excellent. We pay $4 at Fitzroy Victoria Bowling Club which is still about $1 cheaper than most pubs. We better be careful though. I've heard you get banned on here if they find out that you're a bowlerWhoops

The aussie dollar has weakened a bit recently.  From 1.445 to 1.565 in barely a month.  Reckon ill spend about 2000 bucks there so that alone has saved me about hundred pounds.  Would be great if it continued on, getting 1.7 or 1.8 would be a great bonus.

I have absolutely no idea how much a beer costs in a pub. Haven't paid for one in at least 25 years. I have hordes of well wishers and sycophants and desperates that are only too happy to pay for my drinks just as long as they can bask in the glow of my company. Many publicans pay me appearance money just to hang at their pubs and entertain their dreary patrons with my fabulous and inexhaustible collection of anecdotes. So rob if you hang out with me while you're in Sydney it'll be closer to $4000 than $2000.
