Stake Outlay: $153 Bet 2 - Race 3 Back KOBBLE CREEK $125 @ $1.65 ave odds Back ROSEMOUNT DARA $ 28 @ $6.93 ave odds Blinkers are on KOBBLE first time so really should be up near firing line, maybe OSL or in 1 by 1. ROSEMOUNT should work from inside gate and hold rail. |

bottom one any chance?

market says so ta1
needs to improve for me but it keeps firming so where there's smoke.... |
By:
shocking ride.
i was expecting it to be back and run on |
By:
I paid the price for jumping in early price wise, but so be it.
Need to be up there with rail out ta1 so at least she gave it a show. Had weight pull on fave so she may have thought it was worth getting in front of it?? |

apart from sitting wide the whole way....

Bank $5156.54
Stake Outlay: $155 Bet 3 - Race 4 Lay TALKING FRENCH @ SP for liability of $155 Last start, drew the marble, was fresh up from the mile run before and was able to hold lead and have reasonable time in front. This time, 2nd 2100m run, drawn 5. I also suspect at least one of the ones on its inside to kick up, especially fresh ones up to 2100 first time this prep. Even if they don't, I just don't think its that good a horse. Toppy will have it covered at bare minimum IMO. |

you got teh winner well done.

R Mangan is the 3 wide - 2100m Launceston specialist. She has her own lanes but at least she gives them plenty of room
|

Whiskas, lets hope I won't need to test the bank in full
NW, cheers, I missed that......I will pay it more respect from here on in as its last 2 runs have been good. |
By:
whats up next PTP??

By:
Bank $5039.38
Stake Outlay $151 Bet 5: Race 5 Lay GURU REZ @ $3.90 (ave odds) for stake of $31.36 (liability of $90.99) and @ SP for liability of $60.01 Best horse in race IMO, however for mine gets back. There should be speed here and many of them have claimers on. I could see GURU spotting many lengths and with 59kg on its back, it will be a fair effort to pick them up. |
By:
OK you the expert, I dont fancy laying in small fields but you got the runs on the board and your only as good as your last innings so I'll lump on a lay aswell
|
By:
far from an expert GCI, just a mug and proud of it.
|
By:
I am sitting out of next race. I have no firm opinion. Will watch quaddie go around here. Lets get the roughie up
|
By:
Looks like you scored a ton and had I have batted I'da got a duck, WD I layed it with supreme confidence
|
By:
Almost got the bolter up.
I am letting quadrella go around in this. Just checked approx's and shame B/Fair go through Tatts as they look skinnier when compared to Tab |
By:
congrats on the quadie I backed second dozen with everything I could throw at it, seeing it was running against under the eiffel I thought it will **** this in.
|
By:
Thanks GCI & well done.

I read most states Stewards reports each week more out of habit than anything else. Every now and then(or more likely often), I have a chuckle at what is in them or should I say not in them. On the Tasmanian theme, I watched races last night and was surprised to see an apparent change of tactics. I am all for this, however would like to know about it or at least have the opportunity to know.
Now I stand corrected on this and I may have missed it being mentioned on SKY but, I would have thought when a horse leads all the way when it hasn't been ridden forward since 2011, it would warrant some sort of notification and mention in a Stewards Report ?? At least the Wallaby delay snuck in there |

10/03/2013 - Hobart
Bank - $5546.67 I have a couple of things on today so cannot be anchored to PC. Never fear, here is what I will be doing per race. Race 1 - Laying MUNDINE - I thought this had every chance to win last start and last little bit I thought was just fair. First time Hobart, shortish odds and its a lay for mine. Race 2 - Laying AT SUNRISE - A bit like above in that its had its chances to finish closer of late. It does have a little zip but I think its quite a limited horse. Average looking race though. Race 3 - Backing ESPRESSERADO & ROYAL EQUERRY. Both are going super IMO and mile looks ideal. Race 4 - Laying STREETWISE SAVOIRE - Its a good horse, no questions but it will be short enough IMO. I think they will be too zippy for it over 1000m. Its drawn 6 and will surely go back. It will spot them lenghts. I recall a couple of runs back in a small field over 1100, LITTLE RIVER GIRL got it off the bit. It was more fresh then and now @ the 1000m, if it does that again, it will be game over IMO Race 5 - Laying SOREELL MISS - Similar to race 4. She gets back and TBH, I just don't think she is going that well. Her fresh win was super but really hasnt done much since. It will be layable with Froggy on. Race 6 - Laying DOUBLE UNIQUE - Inside draw no favour to it IMO. Its going well but it gets back and from that gate, its a lay for mine Race 7 - Backing - HAT ROCK & STORM CELL - HR's last two runs have been amazing. Should take a power of beating but I have SC with the light weight to cause the upset. Its going well and from draw and with weight, should be there abouts. I am not having a quadrella today. Good luck all. Race 6 - |

13/03/2013 - Launceston
Bank - $5840.63 As many Tasmanian markets don't heat up until a few minutes before the start, I thought I would post what I am doing tonight early. It can be a rush to get bets on and post after that. Race 1 - Backing (Dutching) FULL MAGNUM & GEEGEES HAWKEYE. FM will be short and ran quite well last start. There really is no depth at all IMO. Froggy is on and he should shoot it accross from the outside gate. Not sure if it has the speed but Froggy will get it up in the firing line. GGHE showed good speed in trial and from its inside draw, should hold its spot. I could forsee these two up front. Even if FM goes back, GGHE is good insurance. Race 2 - Great little race this with at least 4 live chances IMO. I am backing (Dutching) CAMPARI & INNER WARRIOR. CAMPARI is having first start, well bred and trialled super. SHowed good toe and should be able to use good draw. IW has been going super and ran a great race last start. It may have the slight class/experience edge on these. It should position up well enough and have plenty of room to make its run even if it gets back a little. I respect the 5 & 6 but the 5 may get too far back (and I query strength of last race field. The 6 could hold its spot but I query any form in small fields at Devonport. So its CAMPARI & INNER WARRIOR Race 3 - Backing (Dutching) ROYAL BELUGA & GREAT WHITE. Both going super. RB deserves the win and gets its chance. GW is on the up and may be new horse on the scene. RB only has to run up to last weeks run to win IMO. Race 4 - Backing (Dutchng) VICTOR VICTORIUM & KISSAWAY. KW should be on the speed and lead these maybe. Good run last start behind a possible smart one. VV may get back but I do like the way it hit the line last start. Race 5 - Backing (Dutching) LILUKA BELLE & SHIPSPOTTING. LB may be above average. Brained em last start and ran great time for Launceston 1200m. SS was in stronger race last time and was probably in worst going, ran quite OK IMO. Race 6 - No firm opinions - leaving this alone Race 7 - No firm opnions - leaving this alone Race 8 - Backing (Dutching) ISIBAEVA & ANOTHER CONCERTO. These two fought it out last start day and could see the same again. Both going well Race 9 - Backing (Dutching) TIGER JACK & BEN ANNALOU. Both going well. I have always had time for both horses at one point or another. They maybe munchers but I still think they are going well enough to win this one. Quite open this race IMO There it all is. Good luck to all who play Race 9 - |
