Two questions:
Are you betting against other punters or against the house? Do they ban winners? |
By:
Two good questions phil, looks to good to be true. If Betfair ban this thread then I will get excited
|
By:
Betting against the house.
I'm having a play with it tonight, with their free money. I will sign up tomorrow, if I get the right answers to my questions. |
By:
Could be manipulated far too easily.
Plus, the template they bought for their dodgy website still has the template pages in it http://pigl.co/category/latest-news |
By:
Ha ha ha!
Betting in Latin. I'm glad all those years I spent learning conjugations and declensions weren't wasted. |
By:
I signed up this morning and deposited $2k, after taking part in a trial run last night. With the 70% deposit bonus and $180 of the $200 free money, I was given to bet with last night, my starting bank is $3580.
I plan to keep the forum advised of my progress and see how long my bank lasts or until I'm barred. I will only be laying horses at the 3 or 4 trot meeting per week in SA. |
By:
good luck CASTIRON probably open account nexr week
will eagerly watch your posts |
By:
Suits BetEzy, they bet there direct clients Best Tote, and are able to cross-match against those clients wishing to Lay on the Vanuatu Lay Site, and get 2.9% for doing it....
|
By:
& as such should have no reason to ban anyone
watching with interest |
By:
gee u blokes are game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!................... a site that parades as a casino, offers some sort of laying / exchange on Australia horse's and no where to be seen about licences, even though everyone alludes to being Vincebaby, and maybe thats OK, but i would want a little more reassurance for my dollars.
|
By:
invite only?? wtf??
|
By:
Castiron. What's to stop you putting your bank on 100/1 shots every day?
|
By:
The likelihood that one of them will win one day.
|
By:
Burgess
Do you mean laying 100/1 chances ? They do win every now and then. During my time on Betfair, I've laid three 100/1 winners, and one cost me $3.5k. On average I would lay four or five 100/1 chances every week, so three winners over a nine year period, is acceptable. |
By:
got invited by email this morning
have taking OFFER |
By:
I know you don't mind lasying them, Elsu, so it should right up your alley.
Let the forum know, if you have any problems with them. |
By:
what about the first race at MARYBOROUGH
you had to go out $2.34 lay race 1 sabrina miss on b/f layed with them tabb odds at $1.90 money credit to my account when all clear boooooooooooooooooommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm how long this been going on |
By:
Did you seriously lay with them at $1.90 Elsu?
|
By:
YES .... just closing tabbs odds the shortys will do me
|
By:
Interesting. I'd heard that they charge a percentage on top of the tote and then work the lay amount based on that. I've seen the t and c's...no mention of anything...just smells not quite right.
|
By:
Chardonnay
You nominate the amount you are prepared to lose. Here is an example. You lay one to lose $400 and the top tote odds is $5. You win a $100 less the $2.90 commission. Happy days. No 5 or 6% commission and no Premium Charge. Lets hope it lasts. And well done Elsu. |
By:
Thanks Castiron! Just doesn't seem right...wonder what the angle is?
|
By:
do they take 2.9% from every lay ,win or lose?
or just profit? |
By:
Winning lays only.
|
By:
So how do they get around the racing clubs' turnover charge issues?
|
By:
They are licenced in Vanautu.
|

harryknackers:
"Suits BetEzy, they bet there direct clients Best Tote, and are able to cross-match against those clients wishing to Lay on the Vanuatu Lay Site, and get 2.9% for doing it...." That's OK as long as there are enough backers to cover the lay money. What happens if everyone wants to lay the horse but no one wants to back it? |
By:
If they are not licenced in Australia doesn't seem like it will last long.
|
By:
I'm a bit slow, so in the example above provided by Castiron, the $100 he won (less comm) was another client's losing win bet, ie an exchange, where the operater takes no risk. And as I read it Castiron would like to operate on SA Harness. Is there volume/liquidity?
As for the not licenced in Australia, I can recall the purple site had to withdraw from Australian racing and they were not registered in Oz. Interesting thread |
By:
exactly what i was thinking about the purple site
|
By:
Sounds too good to be true. Just lay tote odds and back on BF.There's gotta be a catch.
|
By:
laying at best tote....4.90....5.20....9.90
happens all the time at the doggies and betfair at 5.50 not quite as good if you layed it at 9.90 |
