Draw, ground any reason that you think she could be beaten,or is she bombproof?
|
By:
Bomb proof. You don't win that many in a row without being her great racing manners. Sits outside of speed and then explodes.
|
By:
I think she will be opposed in the betting in England on the day, could be a massive bet opportunity.
|
By:
I think she will be opposed in the betting in England on the day
by which horse or horses do you think ... so we can examine their form |
By:
No horse in particular, but a lot of the English don't believe the form can be as strong as it looks. Our betting markets at Ascot are very strong and i just think she could go off 4/5 when she should be 1/3.
|
By:
but a lot of the English don't believe the form can be as strong as it looks
english punters ... or english bookmakers ? |
By:
A big opportunity for large players.
|
By:
Both, she is evens at the moment.
|
By:
I wouldn't bet before she arrives so the evens is too short, but i still think on the day she will be overpriced if you believe she is a penalty kick.
|
By:
can you post the betting market please
that way we can see the field and have a look at the opposition ... as are being bet ... at this point in time |
By:
Well the decs are a long way off as you must know but she is evens to win at Ascot in any race.
|
By:
But according to the threads i have read on here, the other runners will not be good enough to get close,so it hardly matters.
|
By:
Our best sprinter,Deacon blues has an injury and might not show anyway.
|
By:
Actually is out for the season so a lesser field still.
|
By:
i think you are wise to just wait ... if none of her opposition are known
punters can do as they please, of course |
By:
I will wait, but i think if you are a large punter it will be a great chance to beat the odds.
|
By:
cheers trigger
|
By:
I hope you make plenty on the day.Cheers.

EVS BEST PRICE.
|
By:
Hoof It and Bated Breath aren't a patch on Black Caviar imo
Your sprinters have a great record in our RA races, and she's pretty special isn't she? |
By:
cheers triple .. ill start checking
|
By:
hopefully she goes FFT ... makes for great interest and great racing ... and yes she's one out of the box for sure
|
By:
still cant get my head around how hoof it had a world rating higher than haylist last year being a handicapper. ran a 2nd in a group 1 once and that gave him the rating. but 2nd????
not very strong the locals. Society Rock seems to have raced consistantly against better horses. now i understand why the locals have never ventured to australia for rich prize money and a shot at the mares crown. i guess its like our stayers, we only breed a few good ones, rest are handicappers wouldnt win overseas either. |
By:
Thebas....she's definately going, she wouldnt have missed sydney carnival and raced in adelaide in May if she wasnt going
|
By:
spot on megsy that is the plan for sure ... hopefully that plan is not thwarted by anything (such as an unexpected bruising or injury - still gotta get safely thru the adelaide patch of grass lol)
... and i would never ever bet seriously in those UK races ... and will enjoy watching her run for us |
By:
Each punter to their own,as you say,but if she is that good i am surprised you won't be backing her.Unless you don't bet odds on of course.
|
By:
cheers trigger ... mate ive been punting for 45 yrs lol ... i do what i do now and keep it low key ...
i have no requirement in my methods to plunge on any shorties regardless ... and it allows me to watch the race ... with no pressure .. and just for the enjoyment of the horse ... (now if she came out at 5/1 on raceday lol ... i might have a fiver on ) |
By:
Fair enough.
|
By:
I have been reading this forum for the last few months and the attitude of most is that Black Caviar is unbeatable, certainly by any English sprinter. In light of that i would be very surprised if you all got cold feet and didn't lay out a large sum on the day.
|
By:
Talk is cheap, lay out the cash is what i say.I will be.
|
By:
To make it worth while you have to put out a substantial amount of cash, all thing being even she is unbeatable.
but having watched English racing before and some of the tactics I have seen them use, will all things be even? |
By:
What can they do to thwart pure speed?
|
By:
It's all about the odds, she will be value, therefore you must play if you are a serious punter. If you bet pennies it is not worth it.But if you bet pennies you should be less gung ho in your opinions. If you don't play big,why talk big with all due respect.Megsy for one should be making his retirement money on this horse at Ascot.
|
By:
MAX ...say what you really mean...and wb
|
By:
I am not Max,just an observer of the forum.
|
By:
You are the second person to say that.
|
By:
Are you going in big Megsy?
|
By:
agree with educeee, you have the dirtiest jokeys over there, will they play fair?
it really doesnt matter she can sustain a 600m + run im taking the 1.90 odds offered for tomorrows race she wins by more than 4 lens and a little on 1.90 offered she wins under 4 lens. has anyone made his retirement money backing an odds on favorite...she may be 4/6 now, but once she lands in england her price plummets |
