Rudd now going to hold a news conference today in Brisbane at 14.30 AEDT.
Relax PCisaripoff, nothing wrong with having a discussion. |

Kevin Rudd states Labor politicians have had their preselections threatened if they back the former foreign minister in Monday's leadership ballot as they were threaten in 2010 by the faceless men when ousting Kevin Rudd
fcuking unions controlling this country, he might'nt win monday, but he still wins in my view, can see the biggest ever landslide victory to libral next election, courtesy of julia and her faceless henchmen. |
By:

|
By:

Hmmm, interesting comments from Kevin Rudd:
KEVIN Rudd described Julia Gillard as a "childless, atheist, ex-communist" at an Adelaide pub as he plotted a political comeback a year ago. Read more: http://www.news.com.au/national/kate-ellis-tells-of-disgust-at-kevin-rudd-pub-rant/story-e6frfkw9-1226281606132#ixzz1nSI7Nq8g. |

It's a JEZ in crisis! |

cut and paste, cut and paste, cut and paste. You ever gonna graduate kindy Jez?
|
By:
Wombleoz you are so hopelessly out of touch.
Bring on the next 18 months in Australian politics. Change is the buzz word I've been hearing in Queensland this weekend. Not just in regard to Queensland but in regard to this shambolic Labor Federal Government. Of course you'll continue with your dribble that the Titanic is not sinking, despite the fact its hit multiple fkn icebergs. You refuse to accept the reality of the situation. Whether its Rudd or Gillard. We all know a Labor Lemon never changes its spots: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Cj6w83yueM Wombleoz can rabbit on as much as he likes with his ridiculous rhetoric and baseless nonsense. "all is good" ...."Rudd won't contest"...."Gillard's doing just fine" ...."Abbott will be gone by Easter"..."Gillard will recover by years end" And his copy cat lines from Anthony Albanese and the US Presidential Campaign of years gone by: "In your guts, you know his nuts". I mean is this all you've got? ROFLMAO I mean this is a bloke who is a self confessed socialist. He is a minority. Wombleoz doesn't care about the Australian people. He supports wealth redistribution, great big new taxes and people smuggling. Tick, Tick and Tick. When we talk about the flaming obvious, that is this government and Labor are in dire trouble, he calls it chicken counting, I mean ffs Change is coming wombleoz, I'd get some medication on standby pal, because even as Albo conceded in his press conference yesterday, the ALP is eating itself alive, day by day. There is only one way to fix this mess. ONLY ONE WAY. And thats to CHANGE THE GOVERNMENT. |
By:
Thanks for your support whoopi.
|
By:
change this Jez!!! The pretend punter has once again wasted valuable thread space with 10000 pages of meaninless gibber. ....or is that pretend gibber?
|
By:
Bruce Hawker, Labor strategist:
He said Ms Gillard should step aside to give the party a fighting chance not just for the next election but for the foreseeable future. “If the Labor party wants to remain in government it is going to have to back Kevin Rudd,” Mr Hawker said as he arrived at Mr Rudd’s home in Brisbane this morning. |
By:
Is the commentary from wombleoz and AFL and countless others on this thread gibber?
|
By:
If you are so happy.....why change it?

I'd suggest you'll say no.
Yet another disgruntled and upset comrade imo. How about you make yourself useful whoopi and get out there and campaign for Julia Gillard. Or practice what you fkn preach and get back to punting. |
By:
jez, an idependant thought would be a nice change
|
By:
hey dipstick, check the punting thread. already backed a 20-1 winner. not a pretender like you.
See. I have actual thoughts. Don't have to cut and paste like you. Just for your education, horses are those things with 4 legs a tail and a mane. |
By:
Personally i hope they call an election for Dec 31 2013.
Suffer baby suffer......... |
By:
This is a bad government that's only getting worse.
Labor in fighting getting in the way of good government. The Carbon Tax... The boats keep coming...(over 700 people last week alone) The ongoing waste.... The spiraling national debt.... The only way to fix the mess is to change the government. You vote Independent, you get Labor. You vote Green, you get Labor plus a dollop of extremism. The only way to change the government is to vote for the Coalition. |
By:
IMO
|
By:
Waste? I think you will find garbage collection is a matter for local councils Jez.
|
By:
In your gut you know he's nuts
|
By:
If that's all you've got to throw at at Crow...he's got nothing to worry about
|
By:
at him*
|
By:
this Bruce Hawker???
http://www.vexnews.com/2012/02/go-ahead-make-our-day-bruce-hawker-threatens-to-sue-vexnews-for-speaking-truth-to-his-power/ I wonder what the papers will write about once Rudd is on the back bench after getting hammered tomorrow - heave forbid they might need to do some real work and talk about policy for a change. As soon as that happens - Abbott will be like a rabbit in the spotlight imo |
By:
did albanese say he was ... disgusted .. or ... dissapointed ... in the way Rudd was knifed by Julia ?
did albansese really say a ... WRONG ... needs to be righted ? the labor party has shown us all it's internal thoughts ... it's dirty laundry if you will a sad time for a once proud party |
By:
No matter which political party one aligns itself with, the current Labor Government is now untennable.
There should be an election immediately, regardless of who gains the leadership of the party tomorrow the Australian people deserve the right to change a Government which is clearly untennable right now |
By:
Albo showed great heart and pride in what he said and did yesterday and positioned himself perfectly to help unite the party in it's main goal of "fighting Torries" after the vote is done.
Yesterday also showed how big a person Julia is, to refuse his resignation for the good of the party despite him saying he'd vote against her - great work Julia Shame Albo will get rolled by the Greens at the next election |
By:
why is it untenable AD??? This is all part of the way politics works in Australia - As explained very professionally by Speaker Slipper here
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lwhoimynN_U |
By:
i hope its the beginning of something better womble ...
the party has lost its private line tho i am a bit more sceptical of julia's 'real' purpose in refusing albanese's resignation tho |
By:
in the paper today Albanese says he was brought up to have three great faiths, the Catholic Church, South Sydney Football Club and Labor and to be true to all of them.
so was I actually but I have jettisoned two out of the three |
By:
they just have to get the message out there Thebas, we live in the best country in the world and have some of the best economic conditions in the world, thanks to how it's being run - people just need to look at the bigger picture rather than the soap opera for a change, the killing off of one of the lead characters tomorrow should help with that
|
By:
I'm sure Souths and the church will miss your support Craig
|
By:
Womble, we live in a country that basis its entire political premise on the basis of democracy, yet have a Prime Minister that was never elected by the people.
That is utterly ridiculous that that can even occur for a start. And now we are led by a party that has had two leadership challenges since the last democratic selection process. I'm sorry but it is untennable, regardless of who takes the Prime Ministership. Democracy demands that we should be involved in the selection process immediately. If not, don't ever believe or assert we live in a democracy. We simply don't with this fiasco that we have no control over whatsoever |
By:
craig ... (and i won't ask which two pal)
womble .. i agree with the majority of what you say .. regarding the country and condiftions you should be hamble enough to think it's because of the way it's run and wonderful financial condition it was handed over to the curreent govt ... you are surely not so one eyed as to appreciate that and yes .. they have done well with their 'inheritance' but julia is 'lost' in so many ways .. from her morals (her word taken in faith by those listenening to her is in absolute tatters .. and is can'r be explained away by political expediency - albo showed her that yesterday) the trouble for labor ... with the vote tomorrow is this ... all labor afficiandos will think (whoever goes) .. that the other has had a VICTORY this vote ressult can in no way be a victory ... in any sense for labor ... just a point to move on from but some will try and parade the final caucus vote verdict as a ... victory .... |
By:
Thebas - the reason we are where we are is built on the legacy of Hawke and Keating and in part Howard and Costello but you can't ignore the input of Rudd, Gillard and Swan - they pulled the right levers at the right times
AD - we voted for a hung parliament, Gillard did a deal and got the numbers (Abbott couldn't) - democracy at it's best imo |
