By:

When: 22 Feb 12 07:04
he has said he won't do it by stealth Kye - so maybe he could try to do it Monday out in the open but either way he isn't even close to the numbers to win - apparently the Gillard supporters have said they will the traditional 1/3 of MP's rule if he wants to have a crack, they know imo

womble he may not have numbers now but 4 days is a long time in politics & politians are quick to jump ships
By:

When: 22 Feb 12 07:16
he has to almost double up on most counts Kye - Gillard is long odds on if he does.  Based on what he was saying i'd be surprised if he does.

it will all happen v quickly.

First he will secure independants & several will jump to him straight away.

Then he will make some broad policy statements & a few more will jump.

By end of weekend several others will decide they might have better chance with Rudd & will jump.

In two weeks time Rudd will be leading party & Labor will be ahead in polls. The alternative of staying with Gillard will be destruction of the party & certain loss at the next election/

When: 22 Feb 12 07:39
poor julia and her faceless henchmen will be fuming he got in first.

as bolt said....any MPs who thought Rudd was about to be put in his place “once and for all” have got a shake up. Think again, boys

gutless prime minister not putting crean in line shows rudd had no support, rudds a very smart man, i hope he brings down julia with a challenge in the next few weeks, whther he wins or loses, a 1/3 of ministers voting for rudd puts a no confidence in julia......bring it on !!!

I think he has little to gain by challenging for the leadership. Whoever leads the party will get wiped out at next election. He should quit politics & go make a fortune in the private sector & leave Julia in a mess

You obviously have no clue how the world works AFL

Womble, he may not need the money as such but most of these guys want to do something with themselves. Private sector consultancy would seem a logical pursuit for him

Laugh

...........................................

As if he is going to do what you suggest. Laugh

He said in his statement that he wants to ensure that Abbott does not win the next election.

He also said that Abbott does not have the temperament befitting a Prime Minister.

Hey, it's just an opinion, just like yours.

I didn't say it was an expert opinion, nor do i think i am an expert

You say he will resign and go into the private sector, i say he wont do that.

But somehow that has upset you. Enough to say that i have not got a clue, and you don't contribute to these threads because it upsets you that someone could have an opinion that differs to yours and they think they are experts.
