Vic 6/321 at innings change. Well, seems a big score, and as usual that can mean a couple of things. Pitch. Looks flat, and can only be better as the day goes on. Looked an absolute belter. Batting. Made look easy, easy scoring, high strike rates, great opening stand, just short of 90 after 15 overs. Bowling/fielding. Didn't look the best for mine, but was it that bad, or did they just have nothing to work with? Couple of close calls, wickets in general were thrown away though chasing big runs. History. Not unusual to see opening innings of 300+ here.
What to make of all this. Well there are a couple things. While the batting looked fantastic, I choose to believe the bowling helped contribute to that. I lean towards ~285 par score here so think that Vic win easily.
But so does everybody else right? 1.15 Vic? Well, not sure after watching a batting performance like that how you can justify suggesting a back at 1.15 when batting looks so easy. As such, a lay is obviously the recommendation. A good start without losing a wicket, and this score is easily attainable. Get a good partnership going, a quick 55 after 10 overs, and this price could be anything.
Lay Vic @ 1.15-1.16, have double up tradeout ready at 1.28
