How do you know the individual circumstances of every Refugee?
What percentage are processed and proven to be what they say they are? I don't know the circumstances of every refugee either, but our Gov't does, and the majority of them have a legal and ethical right to do what they have done. |

with regards to the aboriginals, yes they have been displaced by white man, very unfortunate but white man over the years has come to recognise this and have done their best to rectify the wrongs, land rights, and huge amounts of (wasted) welfare, dare i say it they'd still be running around with spears,but at least there is an attempt at bettering their lives
there are a lot of aboriginal achievers in this world now and in the past because they wanted to help themselves...... |

We as richer nations owe it to the poorer ones to help bring them into the twenty-first century, rid them of poverty, rid them of religious extremism and provide them with the impetus to lift their standards of education, health care and justice systems to a level that the rest of us take for granted.

i don't believe everyone the world over wants what we have - they may want more than they have, but not necessarily what we have e.g. people in Afghanistan might just like the idea of not being at war for a while, people in Somalia might just want food to eat - etc i think if we play a part in helping with those things, we'll have less boats to worry about - which is part of the point TQ was making |
