MP ... seeing as you're the Punters' Show's new Choreographer, I have a product that I'd like to run by the Punters' Show guys to sell through their website products ...
It's a system based on lucky numbers and favourite colours, what do you think? |
By:
go for you life 'old' mate
|
By:
will do each race but as you know not going to be over keen on every race every saturday, will give a comment at the bottom of each race regarding confidence
|
By:
when i said about doing some monday and so on i was talking about a mid week meeting at Sandown, at this stage the punters show boys only want me to do saturday's for them, on a saturday i will have the work complete by 8.45 and sent to Dallas so would expect no one would receive the after 9am on a saturday
|
By:
Pharlap these boys know all these Horses like back of ur hand ..constantly backing up there Data banks and stuff ...MP u do have Data Banks on Horses don't you?
|
By:
no wouldnt need that amount of time personally, i have a couple of time savers main one is that i do reviews myself at the end of each raceday with extensive notes on each horse's performance, any track bias and a few other pieces of information i like to have on hand, yes i still double check a number of video's again once the weekend's fields come out but i take pride in my notes and they give me a big head start. I also have 2 other young guys that do a few other things for me which all helps cut down the time
for you 18 hours of form might be fine as your not betting at as many meetings as me but i work on usually 3-4 meetings a week so need to find a way to quicken the process. |

phar lap = lets elope

|
By:
cheers mate, appreciate you input hope you've been having some luck lately.

By:
loL PL where you been mate???
You just lurking these days?? |
By:
Pharlap what is your point about this?
Everybody does things different |
By:
Your a machine sts, 5h would be the most i could look at a form guide for a day....
Going alright without setting the world on fire mate, you would be cleaning up as usual I’m tipping?? |
By:
ROFL
|
By:
as a punter you may mark a horse 8/1 knowing full well it will be a lot lot shorter.
thats a punters market, which has to be made to under 100% a bookie may put uo 6/4 a horse he thinks is a giant risk, knowing that there will be money for it A bookies market has to be over 100% there 2 differnt markets for 2 differnt users IMHO |
By:
welcome back STS - oops Pharlap - hope you're backing plenty of winners, I'm sure you are - you're VERY good at what you do
out of interest, it seems most of the other guys do a lot of their work after the race rather than before - i'd be interested to know what your balance is - 50 / 50? plus from sounds of things, and from what you've said previously, you don't have a database of previous runs etc - i'd suggest this would save other pros plenty of time - anyways, what you do, you do it right so best of luck to you - i hope you hang around MP - i've dropped an email to Dallas, very interested to see what you have to offer - one of the things i found most difficult when i was trialling the 1 horse per race thing was finding the top of the market Best of luck with it all |
By:
Looking forward to seeing it again, enjoyed it.
|
By:
I can't remember anything controversial being said in part 3 ???
Maybe he's re-downloading it or something, it was way too slow yesterday. |
By:
I don't look for controversy either ... I was just ... oh forget it ... I know you were kidding ...
Hey ... what do you think Judge about MP using this forum to promote his product for personal gain? |
By:

It was kinda tongue in cheek Judge, hey your form guide thing, I'm going to start a thread about that ...
Judge, why pay for dynamic odds? The bookies odds these days are just a little bit under whatever Betfair is. It moves the same ways that Betfair moves ... or am I wrong here? |
By:
i might even be interested in a punting syndicate - members throw in 20 or 50 and they bet up in the big multis or whatever.
|
By:
must say The Punters Show is great but as someone who only just watches races in Sydney and melbourne on a casual basis and very rarely bets I think the only chance of them making any money from me is with a Punting syndicate style operation
If I could login and see whats bets have been placed 1 or 2 minutes before a race then I could cheer on whatever they are would give me something to do inbetween WA races |
By:
Judge I can only assume when you say they could make it the best site on the net you are of course excluding 28point8.com.au from the discussion
|
By:
What about a "Tipping Competition" of some description?
A Sydney one and a Melbourne one? Punter of the Year! History of Punting! Famous Punters! Racetrack Characters! Biggest Plunges! With fabulous prizes, free to join ... Dallas, Glenn or Marc if you're reading this ... I remember a while ago on a sports program, they had a section called (I think), 60 seconds with ... where they fired rapid questions at their guest. I was wondering whether it was worth doing with your guests ... things like best horse seen/ridden/backed ... first ride/bet/win ... just trivial stuff ... I dunno, just thinking aloud! |
By:
What about a fitness rating comp, percentage of fitness for a selected runner to the 4th decimal point, fitness rating of horses is the way of the future just ask the Asians or Jim
|
By:
Maybe Jim should be a regular on the show?
In fact, it probably should be called "Value Bet's Punters Show" |
By:
gee Racenet have diven Glenn a nice send off today
|
By:
it will be interesting to hear glenns reply to the pays that racenet gave him.i expect to hear "dont cut that out'quite a few times
|
By:
Glad to see they parted on good terms.
|
By:
Well to be quite frank now that the Punters' Show guys have nothing to do with Racenet ... Nothing bored me to tears more than listening to Clinton Payne, a nobody at best, think that his views were of any note. And Paul Joice, well he knows a thing or two, I'll give him that, but what a bore!
I'd like to know how many viewers the Punters' Show had compared to Ticking Boxes! Fk me, there's a saying isn't there? You don't know what you had until it's gone! |
